Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
found some footage of the Italian Superturismo from 1999.
seems like there could be a new car added to the skinpack, the white BMW, or is that just a alternative livery?

It is indeed. This was the early team Cristy's cars. Thanks for the video. Hopefully the entire season will be uploaded as well as 1998.

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
The SEATCZC grids are nearly complete for 1993-1996 now, I'll probably release these soon as 3 packs - FRM TC pack, other mods pack (TCL, R32 and 155 GTA), and Div2 pack to come later once I finish them (Civic EN4/EF3/EG6, Corolla AE101).
Finally, does anyone know what car this is? Celica ST???
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
- 1996:
- Some additional Div2 Honda Civics. Approx 7 more to come for a total grid of 32 cars.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
- 1995:
- 17 cars complete and only 1 left to go, plus around 10 Div2 cars.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
- 1994:
- All 17 are ready from the main class, plus 10 Div2 cars to come.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
- 1993:
- 14 completed and 2 left to paint from Div1, and approx 6 Div2 to paint.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
- 1992:
- Bonus - 1986-1991:
- Some additional cars from 86 to 91. Afaik, the first season of SEATCC was in 1992, with the higher powered GroupA/DTM cars running in the South East Asian Supercar Championship in 1990/1991. There are 9 GroupA cars in 1991 and 3 1600cc cars, and maybe about 10-20 cars from 1986-1990 (mostly Volvo and AE86).

Whoah....you've been very busy. Great work! The car you mention below is a Toyota Corolla Levin AE101. It was widely used in the Group A 1.6 litre class both in the SEA series as well as the JTCC before it switched to ST regulations. Unfortunately no model of that car exists for GTR2.

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
Thanks Markano, bit of a shame that it doesn't exist as the AE101 was the main Civic competitor in the later 90s, especially with Brian Whillock. Fortunately, I have an AE92 (wrongly referred to as an AE101 in my last post) which helps with the earlier part of the 90s...

The AE101 is part of my wishlist in GTR2 because the JTCC. I recently started to paint some skins for the Civic EG6 (some real, some fictitious) in order to fill the missing Div. 3 of 1993 (I have both Div. 1 Skylines and Div. 2 BMWs). As substitute of the AE101 I use the Celica ST205 of Trackaholics and while that car appeared after the JTCC moved from Group A regulations, it's a good replacement in terms of power (I have zero knowledge in editing physics, and that car is a quick fix for me), while have different body kits and is easy to paint.
Sadly, there's not many good pictures of the AE101 Group A in Japan.

And i did! In fact Matteo remembered me about that mod. Some WIPs here, i'm going to make more before releasing those skins:

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
Thanks Hemisfear, Matteo's models are a massive help for 1600cc Group A cars. The Corolla there is the AE92 (I think) which I'm using for some cars at the moment.
@Prostriker, I'm not too knowledgeable with physics beyond some basic adjustments, however engines can be fairly easy.
I usually find the car's relevant power curve for the road car and a suggested BHP for the race version - this isn't so easy for Group A 1600cc, so you might have to estimate based on its rivals. Once you have this info, use Tom's Engine Shop to mirror the stock engine power curve and then use the Modify Max HP feature to modify it to race-spec.
You might be able to find the intended power on the FIA Homologation registry, but I think that's easier with 'fixed' formulae like F3 rather than open formulae like Group A. And, If you're willing to spend some more time/are more mathematically inclined, you can also use the homologation form to build the rest of the physics for the car and you can shortcut by cut-and-pasting from similar cars (ie if you have a Honda with a certain suspension and you know another Honda from the same era that's already in-game had similar/the same suspension). Are you planning on releasing those JTCC cars btw? Looking very good.
