SUPER TOURING: EVOLUTION V1.03

The product of three years of work, SUPER TOURING: EVOLUTION aims to be the ultimate virtual monument and encyclopedia of one of the most famed and beloved periods in the history of touring car racing - the Super Touring / Class 2 era. SUPER TOURING: EVOLUTION brings over 30 series and 2000 entries from 1990 onwards, ranging from the world-famous BTCC, the german STW, swedish STCC series to one off events such as the Kyalami International masters, Spa 24 Hours, FIA World Cup as well as lesser well known championships from the likes of Malaysia, Russia, Yugoslavia...

The mod is still going to improve as well with continued updates to teams, liveries, new cars, entries, and series over the coming months - starting with BTCC and STW tracks.

To Install, a new GTR2 install is reccomended - this mod is NOT compatible with previous "SUPER TOURING WORLD releases! Drop the contents of the "STE V1.00 by FRM" folder into a new GTR2 install and enjoy. Mod includes the following highlights:

~ All cars with massively overhauled exterior shading, and interior colouration, down to rollbars and chassis shading.

~ Damage system unique to each car with bumpers being deformed, fenders detaching.

~ New audio used with very kind permission of Patrik Marek from AC.

~ Radically overhauled physics. John Cleland the famous UK driver said at Goodwood a few years back something to the effect of "anyone could drive a super touring car, but only a few could at ten-tenths." Early 90s cars hop skip and jump around with no aero, the later gen cars are planted to the ground and real drivers cars. Endurance race entries have 150rpm less and a bit more weight due to engine conditioning and bigger fuel tanks for up to 80 minutes in a stint, as well as on FWD cars lesser tyre wear.

~ Fine tuned AI. Qualifying - they'll be slow until tyres kick in. Race time they'll push from the off - literally. Privateers with an eye on budget as well as finishing results will give you more room and be a lot more cautious but the sharp end of the field will be no holds barred ruthless action to player and other AI alike. Endurance race AI focuses on car conditioning more but also qualifying AI puts the best driver in the car to allow the pro to do the talking.

~Tracks with specialised AI by BillBro - included at release Avus, Brands Hatch (new release!), Croft (new version!), Donington, Enna, Knockhill, Norisring, Thruxton all with period track tweaks shading and the AI as mentioned tweaked to ensure you get a challenge.

~Mod tested with AI at 100-102% on Psychotic aggression - reccomended AI Max load at 30000 in GTR2 PLR file.

So found a few small bugs over on the Discord channel that whilst tiny in size, cause a few crashes and game freezes.

These will be fixed and uploaded alongside a Mega link tomorrow morning as V1.01.

a megamod by any standars, more like a virtual encyclopedia

regarding small bug, dunno if it was reported

in NATCC 1997   the VEH  file of the unraced no 22  Accord  EX  is there but not the actual GTR file, i remember that  Markano actually  finished that skin already

or maybe it was planned to be added later with other skins

The addon NATCC 1997 cars will be added later on once i finish the entire rework(including 1996).

The odd CAR file can slip through the net....

I have seen these errors

Noted, will put these in tomorrows V1.01 patch, thank you.

I've got a bug that no one else seems to have. I can't see through the windshield in cockpit view. It's solid. From outside you can look in, but from inside, you can't see out.
I remember this problem on some other cars a long time ago, but I can't remember the fix.
Any ideas?
