Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
there may be another 2 extras you might be interested , and this skin already exists ....
no 101 and 102
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
at 3.40 they mention 2 cars build
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
BTW that development was totally futile the cars were just backmarkers the whole season they raced in

All i see is different numbers and since Baika has made #8 and #9 i don't see the point of adding them.

Moss and Aberdein raced the cars with #8 and #9. I think they used the 101 and 102 numbers just for that test.

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
Maybe these were early numbers as in 1993 all cars had 3 digit numbers

The description of the video says that this test was at the end of 1993. So i think you're right

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
yes the test sessions in 93
small problem I disocvered , no 101 was used by Deon Jubert in the works BMW
only suggested the Ventos as possible extras cos 93 south africa grid is only 10 entries and they would be super easy to add

strangely no 102 was not used by anybody, the other works BMW had no 100

Well a nearly completely different entry list. I would like to see Matt Neal race that year along with Nigel Smith.

something weird which only now noticed about NATCC
in 96 there are no number plates at the back but in 97 season they all had numbers on the rigth side rear bumper or trunk like visible at 5.05
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
so did our unraced DC accord [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
means the no 9 Mirko Accord for 97 bonus also needs a plate at back
the weird part is most championships had plates on the fron bonnet or roof but NATCC decided to have it just at the back.... they probaly got their inspiration from the japanese

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
Not just the back, the car also had small numberplates on the headlights.

yes it's almost like you read an early draft of one of your favorite movies and it's really different then the final product ....
anyway in that link for Laguna they listed the practie and qualy times and it's a big span at the back surprised the Mirko Accord wa undnerpowered afaik they tried to develop their own engine instead of just using second hand ones from Europe , the Pontiac was over 30 seconds off the pace....
qualy

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
Well actually the most rework was done on the Copa de las Naciones series. I have reworked it 3 times. The Procar is also close hehe.
As for the new cars added. The 1995 Procar had 3 Divisions just like any other season of the series.
However Division 2 unlike other seasons also featured supertourers but without aero along with super production cars like the calibra mentioned. This explains why the 1995 entry list for Division 1 was only 8 cars. Now with the reworked version the grid has increased to 18 cars.
1995 was the only year like this. In 1994 all ST cars were in Division 1 and in 1996 no super production cars were in Division 2 causing confusion.
The Belgian Procar series holds a special place. It was my first skinpack for Race 07 when i was starting to paint skins and get involved with the mod.

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
speaking of 1995 belgian cars I found something which might interest you
you remember the 2.0L M3 no 11 from SPA 1993 ? , one of the drivers was WIllie Maljean and it qualified with a 2.49 lap times
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
check no 43 from SPA 1995 , it's in PROCAR category but it could be the very same car, also contains that driver and the very same 2.49 lap times .... too bad the engine is not listed to know for sure

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
The car is featured in the reworked Procar 1995 grid and will be featured along with the Spa 24h 1995 pack.
Also a black Civic Ferio appears in the Procar class in the 1995 Spa 24h and i believe its the same car used in the 1994 race by Ferdinand de Lesseps/Jean-Paul Libert/Perre van Heurick and in the 1993 Procar by Patrick de Radigues.

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
it's good that this more obscure 3D models can be exploited with a few extra skins
they are both off the pace from the "real" super tourers but at least they are not Pontiac level of slow....

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
surprised some of those skins have their STW banners "Philips Car Systems"
maybe they didn't want to bother to take them off only to put them back on later

Re: Super Touring World - WIP skins & discussion
Well this only applies to Ralf Kalascheck. The Bychl Euroracing cars had Philips Banners by default in that year's CEZ and the Czech Series.
