The Definitive ALMS Resource
So I've noticed over the years that there has been a BUNCH of threads asking for cars for ALMS in particular and while I love ALMS it is getting a little cluttered with them. So from here on please post any and all resources you have and I will add it to this post. This way we can centralize everything and everyone will know what is missing or what to look out for.

Thank you very much for keeping the old gold cars on GTR2, since Nogripracing is down we got no resources since them.

All the contents here remind me of everything at NoGrip. Time to time I still consider my suggestion about it but I won't take charge unless there's an agreement.
gtracer123 wrote:You know, I don't mean to go overboard on this but since it's been lost and there have been requests from contents there, what if several members unite and upload everything they got from NoGripRacing because everything that has been done is pretty much vanished now, unless an agreement comes to terms and resurrect the features.

Does anybody know where to find the Cadillac LMP 02 from Forza? I’m thinking about converting it.

The model itself is here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
But as far as the car being available for GTR2 already, I don't think it's been converted before. Considering I couldn't find it at Trackaholics and they've done a lot of Forza conversions.

Can I please ask where did you learn to convert cars? I like to try to add new rims for some cars using genstrings options.Sylphide wrote:Does anybody know where to find the Cadillac LMP 02 from Forza? I’m thinking about converting it.

Reading tutorials and a ton of trial and error. My NSX was my first conversion ever and I cut quite a few corners and had a bunch of extra files because I didnt exactly know what I was doing. Then I did the Saleen and learned how to do it better and how to make working lights and mapping simple stuff like windows, dirtscreen, rainscreen, mirrors etc.
I can't give you a tutorial because I'm still learning stuff but I'd go pick a car that you want in GTR2 and start converting it like I did with my NSX and you'll start figuring stuff out.
Rims are fairly easy its basically just loading them in 3dsimed, moving the rims to where you want and then alot of renaming of files and material names.

is there a model for the BMW M3 GTR 2001 ? Because GTR2's stock one doesnt have the good rims and bumpers

Re: The Definitive ALMS Resource
That's actually a good question. I believe the only model available is the GTR2 one, which has been edited by several people to make some fictional series, with enlarged bumpers etc.
Here you'll find those mods, just scroll all the pages: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Meanwhile, I was wondering if there is a BMW M3 E36 like that raced around 99-2000 (I'm thinking about the car in the cover of the Sports Car GT game, the FINA car of our childhood ).
All I've found are the skins (available in this forum) done by H-JK for the 1996 IMSA SERIES BMW's. These are for the BMW E36 M3/Cup/325is Mod v1.0 by MRS & Team PBB.
Here are the links:

Re: The Definitive ALMS Resource
As far as I can recall, the Carsport Holland Viper from ALMS 2002 was not done by Discpad in his grand pack but I just stumbled upon it now in a bigger pack comprising other Carsport Holland liveries that you can find [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] on GTR4U.de.

Re: The Definitive ALMS Resource
You're right. It wasn't in that pack, as it turns out Discpad's pack is missing a lot of cars for 2002. Because he only did the main-season cars from the Mid-Ohio race, I believe.

Re: The Definitive ALMS Resource
NAGP used to run an ALMS GT league. Possibly there are some cars in that. However they tended to borrow skins already done and renumber them.

Missed this post. There was a rim mod done by someone over at the late NoGripRacing. It features BBS racing style with several colors. I always use it for all M3 GTR skins. I can upload if any interest.
