Is the Grass and Gravel fix DX9 only because it's not working for me. I'm forced to use DX8 due to 'driver stopped responding' crashes that are only solved when I use DX8 shaders.

The description says 60 max vehicles, but when i try to race with 60 vehicles a lot of issues occur. Firstly, during qualifying at least 4 cars won't leave their pitboxes and don't set a qualifying time.
During the pitstops in the race it's absolute chaos in pitlane. Cars teleporting into eachother, cars flying through the air and flipping upside down etc. The result is at every pitstop about 6 to 8 cars will retire. so after a few stops basically the entire field will be out.

Has this problem ever been fixed? Or can anyone point me in the right direction on how to fix it, so i can fix it myself?

I believe the maximum number of cars you can run is 56 to avoid those problems. In the gdb file change this line: Max Vehicles = 56

It is really fatastic I have to say, considering track detail and correctness.

But we might in need of some polishing on AIW especially pitbox and garage box. In race, two cars may pit in exactly same pitbox and "blend" with each other

Im improving googlesx 1.5 version and I like your trees, can I use them? because yours are the best.

OK I EDIT. Your version is the best version at all. Great conversion man.
The asphalt, it is laser scanned? I think it is because I have the same great grip feeling with the GTR2 NOS_2016 from AC too.

so Im improving your version now. Mostly shaders, bumpmaps, speculars, texture file format, mipmaps, etc.

Your version is clean and has no errors. And the asphalt looks great.
I think is probably the best lemans track for gtr2. So thanks.

well I have to rectified what I said in comment before because I find big errors that have been workaround (grass and gravel) but not really fixed with the "Grass fix" and I cannot fix them also.

Some must have been wrong, maybe with the original or some went wrong with the conversion when choosing that custom weird shader.

Maybe re-convert and re-choose those shaders should be enough for gravel and grass.

Here some pics of what I was doing with trees.
Icalled it the "flikering solution" :
