Will have a look at what else can be done, just finished the textures.

There was no track map, same original one from download.

If you could tweak the AI that would be great, some corners I'm either damn fast Smile or the AI should be better.

In the first version, there was a "BigWillowmini.tga" - that was filling this "black hole" in the location setting.

That was the solution that worked for me.

I once used rfactorrools to convert tracks and cars from GSCE. No idea how to make a new AI with that. Sorry.

So, we won't get the new AIW that we need with a proper pit exit line and 40 or so AI instead of 20 Sad

I can fix a few basics including the calibration of the AI speed if they are too slow. No promise how quickly I will get to it though!

I started working on the AIW of Willow Springs. Here is a video of the progress so far:

Only changed the racing line, still need to improved the corridors (lots of cars going into the dirt)

Original project is 99% abandoned, as you say, it was too bad to work with. I tried to convert a newer version (With the updated chicane section), but again, it's almost abandoned, this time because of my lack of time to work on it.

But hey, everything it's not over, if you want to do something with the new version, PM me, I think we can still do something to release the track Very Happy

I've made some progress on willow springs, increased capacity to 32 cars and added the corresponding pits and garages. I tried to re-create the pit path without redoing the aiw from scratch but it didn't work; so i will make the best i can with the short pit exit that we have. Still need to do the corridors but is getting better. This is a short race (3 laps) with 32 cars as preview of the current status.

The pit entry needs some extra work (they start braking on the racing line before getting out of the way of other cars) but the pit exit is improved. There were some waypoints behind the pits that weren't used, so i moved them to extend the pit exit.

Because of the placement of the garages i recomend you change the following in BigWillow.gdb:
GarageDepth = 1.0

The aiw for Daytona (road) can be downloaded here:

The racing line was improved and the pit lane was moved to the rigth edge. You will need to change the following in Daytona.gdb:
GarageDepth = 0.1
 Otherwise the cars will hit each other when trying to exit the pits and this will cause problems.

Can I ask you if you're planning to updgrade other AIW files ? In this case I'd like to suggest an upgrade on AIW for the beautiful Kyalami track.

It's good to see that there are a few people who are still doing development for this game. Thanks a lot for that. Unfortunately my graphics card broke last week, but the first thing i will test with new hardware is your AIW.

The flying/flipping over the curbs is fixed and they race reasonable well, but there are a few issues. I had to narrow the corridors before the chicanes (to avoid accidents) and used a "safer than faster" path trough them so they struggle a bit in the first lap; the pits entry and exit needs a little more work and the flow trough some of the slow corners is not as smooth as i would like. Despite these i believe it's quite ok.

Here is a video of the first couple of laps of a race with the Ultimas:

I think the updates are tied to the tracks, so keeping them together seems better to me; less browsing around to get the "full package".

There are some serious bumps on this track, be careful where you put your car. The inside/outside paths needs to be remade, use standing start for the time being; and the groove could use some extra work.

I haven't decided yet, but when i do i'll probably just release it when it's done. I don't want to commit to a specific track before i know that i can do a decent job with it.

The pitlane exit was extended, the merge better into the track now. The starts can be a little 'busy', but at least they are better than the F1 guys  Smile

So, this updatepack from ClimaxF1 needs the GSCE-track as a base. There is a AIW-file called sdiMugello.AIW The Update itself has no new AIW. And your new AIW is called mugello.AIW. So it cannot replace the original file. Or im wrong???
