Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
You are correct, i rename the tracks while i'am working on them to have both (the original and my modification) and i forgot to put back the original name. It is fixed now (if you already downloaded the file just rename it, it has the same content).6:11:13 wrote:So, this updatepack from ClimaxF1 needs the GSCE-track as a base. There is a AIW-file called sdiMugello.AIW The Update itself has no new AIW. And your new AIW is called mugello.AIW. So it cannot replace the original file. Or im wrong???

Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
Hi, not at the moment. I did quite a few in a (relatively) short time so i decided to enjoy driving them for a while. After new year i probably start again.Batman76Robin wrote:Hi Simon, are you working on some new AIW ? Thanks.

The aiw for Hungaroring can be downloaded here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wG-5C9bgq4HGB9rZzBWqxeHhdDVHePTG/view?usp=sharing
I fixed many corridors issues (pit exit and main straight were the biggest ones) and refined the racing line a bit. The only problem that the AIW has is the formation lap, they do some sharp turns in unexpected places and have some difficulties with the chicane. Otherwise, it works ok.
Here is a video of the first few of laps of a race with the Ultimas:
Hope you enjoy it

Nothing special to mention, I just refined the racing line and the pin entry/exit.

Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
Hi, I started working on one but i have begun going to the office again (after a full year of working from home) and it's quite an adjustment. I will probably pick it up again soon, but i won't be releasing as often as i used to.Batman76Robin wrote:Hi Simon, working on some new AIs ?

Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
Hi Luca, i haven't been working on any tracks lately. I started with Monaco a while back but still needs some more work, perhaps it could be finish relatively quickly with some 'generous margins' against the walls (hard to get a good race otherwise). Not sure what to do after that, i don't have the time i used to (and lost some of the motivation too). One thing i considered is to document the process and tools i use, to help others continue the work; but that is going to take some time so i don't see that happening soon.
I'm glad you enjoyed my work.

Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
It would be great to get some classic tracks of Silverstone 1970 and Monza 1970.

The aiw for Monaco can be downloaded here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QqbPA-r40m37WAuSrPMRsIhaeO5aA-WT/view?usp=sharing
Here is a video of a hot lap with a formula classic:
I reworked the racing line and the AI corridors. I didn't put the generous margins against the walls that i originally planed, only increased them in most problematic areas; otherwise i wouldn't be Monaco. With medium to small cars they will touch the walls occasionally but without mayor consequences. When you put wider cars (F1 for example), it becomes a little bit more hit and miss.
Hope you enjoy it

Hi Simon, thanks for Montecarlo AIW. I've seen in RD that recently you have made another great work with MidOhio. Are you back with others magic of yours ? In case can you make some gifts here in EEC ? I'm thinking about 3 asian tracks by ClimaxF1 : Sepang, Shanghai and Zhuhai. Thanks again.

Thank you for your appreciation of my work. I don't have any plans at the moment; my original plan was to post some sort of tutorial sharing my experiences so more people could get involved but 'real life' got in the way.Batman76Robin wrote:Hi Simon, thanks for Montecarlo AIW. Hi Simon...
Thank you for your work sir.
By the way, do you intend to upload the tutorial? It would be much appreciated friend. I started in the world of modeling a couple of years ago, but I still have a lot to learn, since it is a very extensive subject...
Thank you very much in advance

Hi Sergiolo, sorry for the late reply; work was ramped up this last few months and i haven't been doing anything sim-related for a while. I still have intentions of making the tutorial but i don't know when i will be able to do it.Sergiolo wrote:Hi Simon...

Here's another really nice track, both the way it looks and feels. Like the layout, really nice to race on.
Same as most the other track updates, atmosphere with random skies added, most the texture's have being reworked and optimized to remove any glow.
The Dunlop tire is probably my favorite texture update, looks like real rubber.
Some general fixes here and there.
New loading screen.
Have fun
