Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
Hi Guys
The JNS track pack is oval tracks only as far as I know and that's something I wouldn't be interested.
The Charlotte Roval I would be interested as this is a mix of oval/road course similar to Daytona.
All depends on the quality of the base track, if the track looks decent enough to work on then I would look at making a complete update.
Will have a look and let you know.

Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
Had a look at the Charlotte Roval and unfortunately this is just too bad to consider.
You can't get out the pits, only race mode works, track itself looks very flat, so do the buildings, just a bunch of box shapes with images on them.
The track lacks texture and several other things, then it eats up FPS, why I don't know.
Tried but unfortunately it's not worth the effort.

@ClimaxF1
What version of Monaco did you port as a base? I love what you've done to freshen the look, but I want to improve the AIW, as looking at it in an editor showed their fast path to be quite wonky, with many waypoints' fast paths being out of bounds.

Being a while, hard to remember, think it was a Stock Car Extreme version, where that came from I have no idea.

Shibuya Street Circuit for AMS
Hi Guys
Here we have another track converted by myself, many of you will probably remember this track and hopefully you can enjoy this track again in AMS.
Shibuya Street Circuit Japan
For those of you that have tried the Miami Bay Street Circuit that I converted, this track has also being worked on and updated in a similar way.
All textures have being reworked, some upscaled for better quality, few have being replaced.
The original track was very monotone so here again I have improved several textures, added some color, increased depth of field to give the track a overall better appearance.
New AMS skies, atmosphere and track rgb colors have also being added, then I've also increased the fog density to give the track softer look, more like AMS hopefully.

Shibuya Street Circuit for AMS
Track updated : v1.1
Hi Guys
One thing that I was not entirely happy with was the all the track surface textures.
To me the original tarmac was a bit too dark, there was also a slight red purple undertone, but the main problem was that the actual texture itself (tarmac grain) wasn't really a match for this track.
Once I created the new tarmac I pretty much had to redo all track surfaces to create a decent flow around the track.
I think the new textures blend in very nicely with the track now, hopefully you guys like the update, have fun!
Update details:
- New tarmac grain, lighter and higher quality
- New infield and outfield surfaces
- Edge surfaces reworked to match new textures
- New feature surfaces added
- Grass added where possible
- Different atmosphere added
- Improved track decals
- Removed unnecessary files

Re: AMS track updates by Climax F1
Wow - thats really good work.
Okutama, Chicago - these were my personal favorites in GRiD.
The Automobilista versions (Rf conv) have been a little loveless so far.
But that seems to change now, thanks to you.
