The BTCC production class is a little vague in the physics department with all models sharing the same .eng .sp ect, also I would say the production .eng file is over powered at 270bhp although tbh I'm finding info on that difficult to find, I've been doing work on the production cars the past few weeks with individual .eng files with roughly 210bhp as that was roughly what the .eng was set to originally, the .eng files I've made are based on the WTCC 2.0 files from relative manufacturers with varying rpm limits such as the Integra revving close to 9000rpm for instance, currently I'm tweeking the .hdc files

Maybe that might be something of interest to you for your mod

270hp is from PugSport Racing who own a 306 Production car, also partly based off a book I have about Alfa Romeo in touring cars. Certainly however they will be revised.

As a note for V3.0 (next version) cars return to having unique DMG files etc.

cool mate, the production class bhp is an interesting subject, a couple days ago i was watching btcc 2001 round 1 on youtube and during the run up the BTC=-T and BTC-P were compared, apparently the BTC-T was 270bhp and BTC-P was 230bhp, the weights and wheel sizes were compared too but cant remember the numbers, one thing to note though there wasnt too much difference n straight line speed between the two classes

New camera FOV angles for V3.0 aim to recapture those ToCA feelings and make you feel every door rub and panel hit - both in-game onboard as I get a bit close to the Audi and Ford!

Revamped 1996 Peugeot 406 BTCC. Starting to prefer differing .CAS files for variants. 97 BTCC, 98 BTCC, & STW versions also in the works.

Not really as they were split between mainland Peugeot and MSD built cars.

BMW's were a nightmare to do though.

Nissan Primera P10 now with actual rear bumper bars. Exaust is no longer black and working on twelve different CAS variations for interior at the moment.

GTP_furinkazen, I apsolutely adore your SUPER TOURING WORLD mod and I was wondering could you add Yugoslavian(1996-2001)/Serbian(2002-2009) Super Touring Championship into it. I can help you with information about it, drivers, cars, numbers, teams but I know nothing about modeling. I would love to have Serbian Super Tourers in game too and it will be my pleasure to help. If it's not possible it's okay, the mod is already fantastic and I really love it.

The last time I raced supertourisme cars on GTR2 I was still on the 1.6 version (which was really nice). I tried also the 2.0 when you made it and, as you know, it was a real nightmare to drive so I stayed on 1.6

I downloaded your 2.2 last week to try it and... WOW !!! what a great job ! the physic is so good ! It's the first time I get so much pleasure to drive a FWD on a Simbin game. I definitively abandoned the 1.6, which seems really old now

I would also congratulate you for your talent files and your work about the balance between the drivers. It's REALLY nice ! I think it's the first time I play a touring mod without reworking the AI files : all the races I did were perfect. On 1994 BTCC I was fighting with Tarquini, Menu and Winkelhock like in real, on the 1995 french championship Aïello, Muller and Hélary were also everytime on the top 5, same thing in Spain, Italy, Germany ...

However, I have some requests to make your mod even better in the future :
- when will you add the 1997 and 1998 AMP Bathurst 1000 ? I remember Furi was talking about on his FB page a few months ago, do you have some news ?
- same thing for 1995 24H de Spa, I would love to run it ...
- could you add a LHD .cas for the Peugeot 405, as you did for the 406 ? I'm running an Mi16 (my favorite car ever ) on my 1994 BTCC championship so there's no problem, but I'm unable to drive a RHD 405 Mi16 on France or Italy...
- I saw you put the Race 07's 2006 Honda Accord on the sound files, why don't you use it for the Honda cars ? I took the Accord .aud file from the Andreas's Supertouring mod on Race 07, the sound is really better.

I downloaded the "FULL VERSION" because i thought the patches 2.2xx were already there ... so I need also the "PATCH VERSION" (after reflexion it seems logic )

You're right Race 07's sounds are not optimal for supertouring cars, but you already use Race 07 Alfa 156's sounds for the 155 and 156 supertouring sounds, and the result is quite good. I did it because the Peugeot 405, Nissan Primera, Toyota Carina et Honda Accord (also Renault Laguna ?) have all the same sounds and it's a bit boring

speaking of this I always wondered how come the Cavalier was RHD  and the Vectra which replaced it in BTCC was LHD instead of RHD  , at least the Vectra B is permanent LHD this way

The NTCC is still not done....i have very little time and i've been off skinning for a while now...I have plans to finish the NTCC and Yugoslavian series in the summer.

they also used ST cars in 2010-2012, they are just not listed at ST Register, even though the grid became much smaller than the years before. i have plenty of pictures from those seasons incase anybody wants them.

Bit of help required here. MOTEC has just totally stopped working on just the Primera P10 since I did the cockpit reworkings.

Alright fixed it. Can add a few things that i've done / and are being worked on for V3.0:



MOTEC's are being updated to match the RPM of engines with changed RPM.

Alfa 155 has a new sound.

BMW E36 has a new sound.

Specialfx.tec being tweaked to influence behavior of contact with barriers.

Unique damage models for each car.

A reduction in stability on acceleration of the InitialTorqueStab value.

A major increase in maximum AI aggressiveness. Test races and some AI will literally push you along straights and they'll do wild divebombs.

Adjustments to Independent cars to further differentiate from works cars. A higher CoG and therefore slightly poorer handling and aerodynamics is to simulate how Independents had different tyres, and less advanced equipment than factory cars.

All car models will be reshaded (as you've seen from previews) with DX9 shaders.

Interiors will be retextured for interior trimmings as shown.

Car susceptibility to damage will be adjusted to be less sensitive. The new AI DNF much easier throwing the car into other cars and off track.

Track pack will be coming. Work now starting to gather apace on that.
