all the reference pics I found looks to be the after 96 bodykit, with large front wheels and wider bodykit, so if there are no pics of ow it looked in 96 then it could be scratched ...

Here is what i have of the 1996 one.It didn't have a rear wing in the 1996 version.The yellow one is from 1998.The 1996 one was dark grey(or dark green) and had yellow bumpers.Not sure however.

it looks like a pre-season testing session without definitive livery , there is no sponsors and not even a race number plate !!! so essentially we have no idea how it really looked in 1996 Twisted Evil

also a bit confused about that Mondeo, as here it was listed with no 88

but in 1995 it did indeed have no 65 !!!

I don't remember any shots of it in the 1996 races on youtube, so maybe just edit race number from 65 to 88 and be done Razz

The numberplate will be updated as they ran with the jtcc numberplate for the first few rounds and then switched to the atlus numberplate as seen here:

Update on SEATCZC 1996, stopped working on it across the past couple weeks but the field is now nearly complete. Only 5 left to complete the grid, but I lack material for 1 of them. Does anyone have any images for Sentul Motorsport's Vauxhall Cavalier - I believe it raced at some point in the ASTC?

Regarding the '96 Impreza, I found one video on the '96 season, and it happened to be a race the car actually entered!

- 25 Vauxhall Vectra, N. Smith
- 9 Honda Accord , A. Mirko
- 6. Mercedes 190 , E . Stretton
- 81 PONTIAC, D. Jolly

so everyone else was a "works" driver, the 2 Stratus, the 3 Honda Accord, the 2 Ford Mondeo and the Toyota

Those are interesting pics. That's the best shot I've seen of the '96 Subaru and the only time I've seen the Skyline. Looks like a Mitsubishi Mirage was tested as well.

you have such a table which shows which NATCC 1997 entries were independents ? , was there even an independets challange like in 96 season ?

is there any info on the 96 Ford Countour (why it was present at 3 meetings but never started) and the Pontiac Sunbird ?

In 1997, both Dodge drivers, all Honda drivers & Rod Millen in the Toyota were considered "works" drivers. All other drivers were entered in the Independents' Challenge. However, there wasn't a separate points classification for independents in either season. The winning independent was simply the driver who finished highest in the overall championship (Steve Petty in '96 & Randy Pobst in '97).

1996 Mondeo - Teams plans to run an ex Rouse 1994 car thwarted by accidents to the main car.

seems you have to type who were 97 privateers

in 97 season the Hondas Accord put those Dodge to utter shame, specially the Tasman Racing driven by Neil Crompton , maybe that's why Dodge withdrawn at end of 97 and so killed the championship Rolling Eyes

Neil Crompton only missed the title due to a DSQ and because he missed a round, he had 7 wins and further 7 podiums Shocked

by comparison Dobson the champion had only 2 wins and 5 more podiums Rolling Eyes

this means that simspeed_racing only needs to edit the 2 already existing Mazda Xedos 6 to privateers , as they currently are listed as manufacturers Smile

Quintanilla is the yellow Honda Accord
Pobst , Law , Jonak, Finnely are all BMW
Welch is the Ford Mondeo
Schader and Pucket/ Wilson/ Emmick are the Mazda Xedos 6
Emmick also drove the Pontiac

so the WORKS cars would be the 2 Dodge , the 3 Hondas Accord and the Toyota of Rob Millen (despite doing just a single round)

It will be back, there are now nearly all the models needed - Mazda, Astra, Sierra, BMW M3 etc they just need skinning.
I've only just been able to get back to my PC with the GTR2 stuff on today and need to test some physics adjustments that theravenousbeast has suggested.
