I have some problem with my trace

Salut,

I have problems with my trace. I think I installed everything correctly. See image. Nevertheless, the game does not give me an error message after a crash. So in the user folder under log. As it should be. Did I forget something???

Look in UserData\Log\trace.txt

Delete the Quotation marks after exe, maybe all three.

And it looks as if there is a blank between "-" and "trace". Try to delete this.
I believe that the quotation marks around the path are needed because there is a blank within the path name.
I agree that the quotation marks at the end should be removed.

Here's one of my perfectly working mines:
"E:\GTR2 _ HQ Full install\GTR2.exe" -trace=1000

If my view is still good  [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] , I think you have a " at the end after the 1000 and that's your problem.
And the blank between " and -trace is needed.

Many thanks for your help. Unfortunately nothing has helped so far. Which might be because the line cannot be changed. I wrote the line like this. "C\GTR2-RSC\GTR2.exe" -trace=1000. But as soon as I press accept or ok, the " characters are removed. I still don't have an error message.

Why do I actually need a "trace"???. I would like to find out why the game crashes on certain vehicles. I downloaded a Mazda RX-7 FD3S from Trackaholics Den. And a Toyota MR2 TD3000 widebody. The Mazda is from Race Grid 2, and the Toyota is from Forza Cars. As soon as I try to drive these vehicles onto the track, the game loads to the checkered flag. Then it takes 1-2 seconds. Then crash. With a trace I could find out if maybe a file is missing. But like that, I don't know anything....

ONE LAST idea, is gtr2 running as administrator? If not change in compatibility mode.

and thanks to Dallenbach. With the change to administrator I get an error message. The game still crashes when I try to drive the Mazda RX-7 FD3S. Ok, the loading works until the checkered flag. And it takes a little longer for the game to crash.

Now you surely finally have a trace file, that's what can tell you why you get a crash with those cars.
You surely miss one or more file that this car needs to work.

Go to your Userdata/Log folder and open the trace.txt with notepad.

Normally, the showing error will be found at the last lines of this trace file.
It will give the name of the GMT that the game cannot open according to the .cas file of this car

We will know where to search the reason of the crash ... any needed missing file for this GMT causes a CTD.

They are to be found in Gamedata/Teams folder.

Could you check if you have those 2 files ? as this could be the reason of your problem.

NB: C:\Admin\Dokumente\GTR2\userdata\Log was the place where they were in the past
Now they should be in the game itself when using Steam version, the reason why I didn't give you the right path in my answer

I tested the Toyota MR2 TD3000 Widebody 1995 Forza from Trackaholics website, and the mod works like a charm !!!
