I have some problem with my GTR2

Salut,

recently I have a problem starting GTR2. In the video, the game suddenly got stuck. I had to restart my computers. I had created the BMW e12 des Gitanes WM (24h Spa 1981) and added it to the game. Now this vehicle is not displayed in the game at all. And all the vehicles I now create and add to the game are only displayed as a silver silhouette. Can anyone tell me what's broken??? Well you need to do a trace for anybody to tell you that.

It's a skin or an actual mod that's broken things?

What I often do if I mess my game up I make backups before adding stuff and or try to remove the mod I added or changed. Sometimes a complete reinstall is also a way or even the only one. You also should get yourself the amazing community upgrades by GTR233 (Paul) at Racedepartment - that is recommended very much. To create a trace you need to add "-trace=1000" to your desktop .exe of GTR2. Rightclick on it it and add the line to the properties without the " pls.

and first of all: Thanks for replay. Yes well, i have bachups. And i hope that the "-trace=1000" can help me to find the problem.

If GTR2 crashes without a reason of missing file or such .... the trace file won't show any more or less precise clue for the crash.

If this is the case, try first to remember which file you added to the game before your problem, but before removing them, check if one of those files is not a replacement of an original file.
This is what I fear in this case.

The advantage of using JSGME for example ... unactivating an installed mod should allow to retrieve the replaced file.
That's not the same when not using such a tool..... as you mostly don't remember if an original file was replaced and which one.
A full reinstall in this case should be necessary ..... but good luck with the trace file, hoping it will give you a clue about the problem.
