is there a way to download this fia gt mod. somewhere else?
as i can not download google drive links, i always get message....
ups there is a problem...try it agan

and if i click on try again, then comes next....virus scan do not work as the file is to big (or similar, i am not good in english).

so it is not possible for me to download this file, but i need it for the next GT revival series.....

Any file that is too large will give the same message with Google, "virus scan do not work as the file is to big".

Just click download anyway and you will be fine.

Hi Guys

Not relevant to the GT1 mod but I thought that I would post this here anyway.

I've put everything aside to get this mod out as soon as possible and should be able to upload the mod very soon.

Updates so far:

- Reworked model
- New sound pack
- New interior
- New shaders
- New physics
- New suspension and tire files
- Five skins already done by me
- several other tweaks here and there







Busy with another five skins and will upload the first version for you guys.

Oh cool. The F40 is more a BPR Global GT Series, it's still an early GT1 car, if far removed from most cars you'd see as GT1, in the same way, that technically the Viper is a GT2 machine, being built for the 1997 FIA GT Championship and because of Chrysler knowing they'd never be able to compete against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, Porsche 911 GT1 and future GT1/Protos in Supercar clothing.

So does that make all "GT1" cars built for the 2000 FIA GT championship actually GT2 regulation cars just rebranded as GT1 with the supercar protos now no longer allowed?

I wonder if a good model of an NA1 NSX exists as that raced as a GT1 in Turbo guise and N/A guise in GT2 at LeMans in '94, '95 and '96.

I have just uploaded this mod together with updates. The amount of vehicles and quality is outstanding. Thank you for your effort and dedication.

How to skin the cars on this mod? Or we are no supposed to paint any other than Simbin's skins?

How shoud I save the skin, since the ones in the mod seem to be with no lighting on DDS and I tried DXT1 and 5 and I keep getting shadows from the widebody car on body and windows.. Any tip? Also on how to remove the yellow headlights?

Only the M3 shows up on the GT1 icon but can select all under "All Cars" icon.

Then you haven't installed it properly.

Try doing a clean install again, this mod does not share files with any other mods available and is setup as a stand alone mod.

Should be a simple copy paste and install but if you still having problems then hit me with a personal mail and let me see what could be the conflict so that we can sort it out for you.

No worries it was my file manager (double Commander) that didn't like a couple of the files.

That said I'm not making any updates to this mod, I think so far everyone is happy with the cars and everything available.

As time goes the more you learn so I've decided to give these cars one more update again.

I've started adding new shaders to the cars, both exterior and interior ones. The results so far look very nice.

Doing this I've had to redownload all the original skins so that I can rework them again. This time removing any blemishes, replacing bad logos and so on. This will obviously take some time, not too long hopefully.

As you can see by the screenshots the bodywork looks much better now. I'm using a bit of a softer shader for the cars to hide any imperfections that the 3d models may have and then for the interior there's more of a ambient look to them, also a bit softer.

I'm not sure what you'd class this F40 as though.  It's not any real car spec, kind of later.  With a totally different headlight package
and a more modern front splitter.   I think I'd class it as comparable to F302s more modern XJ220 and EB110S.  Or the cars built for BPR 1997 that failed to materialise.

The Ferrari F40 was homologated in 1994 to 1996 as a GT1. BPR became in all effect FIA GT for 1997.

What is a GT1 car though?  It's just a class.  Signifying the top GT class available.   I'm not sure what the Viper was originally built for....at a guess to cash in on the Mclaren F1s LM win.  It certainly wasn't built for FIA 1997 as it first appeared in 1996.  The American races and BPR, where it was a GT1.

However it was never considered a top contender due to being FR, having a truck engine and nowhere near as refined (in 96) as it's top competitors.  I think unless you had a super super car in BPR, you were at a major disadvantage.

The Oreca Viper GTS-R's was built for the 1997 FIA GT2 regulations. Until that ruleset came into effect, it was adjusted for the 1996 GT1 regulations.

Originally (1999) yes.  However rules are pretty fluid and slowly but surely the post 1999 GTs became faster and better machines.  Due to rule changes, being the premier GTs and new technology.  By the time post 2000 GT1  peaked, there wasn't a massive difference between 1997 and say 2008 speeds.

Between 1999 to 2004 nothing was called "GT1". When the original GT1 was discontinued after the 1998 season, the old GT2 cars were relabelled "GT" in FIA GT and "GTS" in the ACO regulations (at Le Mans and in the ALMS). In 2005 GT and GTS was relabelled "GT1".

The Marcos was a GT2 1996-1998, a GT 1999-2002. No Marcos ran in FIA GT after 2002. GTR 2 has a complete set of the FIA GT fields of 2003 and 2004 so you can easily see which cars raced where and when and in which class through that game.

If I remember correctly all cars except the NGT: Ferrari 360 & Nissan 350Z are in my my upload.

I never included those two because the models weren't great, or the interiors were quite bad, not sure anymore, being a while.

P.S. I am aware that there are more cars from both mods available.

These are the one's that have have made the list. The rest are of poor quality or have bad interiors or there's was something wrong with the car in general.
