Yeah my bad. Have only just got my PC issues sorted again and getting GTR2 set up again on the new machine. Didn't even think to look in the general Forum to see if there were any new rules on here apart from the obvious play nice with others type.

In the years I've spent working in this community ( a lot longer then most realize apparently) it's not that unusual, in fact I myself a few times have felt and even done the same thing.

But to get down to it, I can tell you why. He blames me, so it's my fault. He blames me for doing what two or three other groups have been doing to him for a lot longer then I ever did (and no i wont dime anyone out nor am I saying it's right either). He blames me, even though I did truly tried to get in touch with him and was met with no reply. Maybe he didn't get the messages, I'd like to think that, and if that's the case, then it's just a lack of communication...on that note I would like to say there are several who can vouch for me on the fact that I always try to contact somebody at least.
But the fact is, he never responded, and yeah I admit, it got to me. But be it what it is, he still blames me, so it's my fault.

Am I sorry, of course I am that any of this happened, anyone who wouldn't be doesn't deserve to be. Those that know me, know I can be a real hard ass, but I'm not too tough to admit a wrong. Yet, with that said, I don't like being publicly bashed on my own boards, as he did instead of contacting me directly. It took its toll on me more then I thought it did at first, as I'm sure the situation did to him .

I've been in the sim racing community as a modder, painter and site owner for over 20  years...I know most don't know me now,  because I keep a very low profile. But the truth is, I in fact was around before a lot of developments in modding happened, and in that whole time, I've never been so insulted like i was. Not just from what he said, but how he went about it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame him for being angry, I've had the same anger over the years a few times...ask a few the guys around here who know me well. But it was the method things went down, that I just can't deal with anymore - meaning, he blames me for quitting and pulling out, so in turn, I take my leave of all of this as well. There just comes a time when a person has to ask himself (or herself) how much is enough?

So in conclusion, to Arno, I do apologize for what he feels I did to him, I wish he and I could have spoken ages ago, but it never happened, and I am to blame..he's out, and so am I... there it is.

you always produce a great finished product....to wit , I Hope this can be resolved

It's sad what happened. This modern GT3 mod is the mod was holding GTR2 installed on my HDD, love it. Unfortunately I won't have this taste anymore, it's a pity! =/

For 10 years now of enjoying GTR2 I've seen this behavior over and over and over again

A person who's really cool will make cars skins and give them to the GTR2 community
then a single or just a few people will piss Him off and to get back at those people
He will remove all His work not giving a shit that He's screwing us all by doing so

Best guess is last week.

I was able to get the Bentley Continental add-on the week before, and now this all kicked off.

Shame it's happened, but I've seen it happen before back in the Sports Car GT days. A couple of serious modders/painters getting ticked off with others not giving due credit or asking permissions saw a lot of work removed from sites back then. Even caused one site to completely shut down as there was no content remaining.

I still don´t understand this nonsense...well, maybe I never will be able to.

Then again everybody has his reasons to do things like he does...

I don't understand many things either, it's even a bit scary to comment and give an opinion because the person can take it even worse

I can only speculate. But I know the first post on here says to not post a link anywhere but here. I did see the link to his work over on another prominent GTR2 site. The link from there was then removed (it was only up for about 24 hours) and SilverSun's releases were gone.
