It gives you a lot of usefull info via audio. Configure it via SpotterConfig.exe (no need to do the plr file changes it will ask you to do)
It even has a NASCAR style spotter if you want, it will tell you about other cars around. I'm using this now due to small FOV (better view) and small monitor. Usefull stuff especially if you race online as we may have full course yellows

what info it will give? its same like on gtr2 when the pit guys said yellow in sector 1? your pitcrew is ready? etc?

You can configure what info it will give. There is a lot of stuff. Lap time, sector times, time left in session, laps left in race, flags, gap to next car, warns when someone get 1 second behind you. It can even tell you if another driver got a penalty.
The best part is that it is very sensitive to damage so any contact with other cars it will tell you if you got a damage or not and where was the damage. The audio is very clear.
Oh it also tell you about brake temperatures (you can adjust the optimal temperature so it will warn you when it is too cold or in the good temperature ange, etc)
Worth to use it, really good stuff

I turned off a lot of warnings because it wasn't stop talking xD so choose well
