Gtr2 can use plugins

You can use Crew chief Simhub and a lot of the old rfactor plugins in grtr2!
You do need the steam version of gtr2.exe .
By some fluke? it was released with the ability to load plugins.
Included in the Crew chief for gtr2 are also an excellent VR integration way better than VorpX and rival the very best VR experience you can get in a race Sim!
For people that do not have/ use VR you can safely delete the included d3d9.dll and the OpenVR.dll that gets copied to the root folder.
Use Simhub via the plugin for AMS/ rfactor; RfactorSharedmemoryMap.dll
But you can also use Realfeel, find the one from rfactor works best.
While I am not a huge fan of Realfeel it is nice with an old G27 to be able to deal out the gear clanking and the added bump effect from the leoffb is nice too.
Also used GID 1.15 you just need to hex edit the d3d9.dll
I use the one for AMS. Just replace AMS.exe with gtr2.exe.
Track map part doesn't work but otherwise it is great .
press ALT+ENTER to open editor
Even the Spotter add-on Dave f1 works but Crew Chief is so much better.
Asked the author of second Monitor to allow gtr2 .exe and it is now up running.

Excellent Motec like program but much easier to use and really great for doing setups.
Couldn't get Dynhud plugin to work ?
Simhub alone are a great option. even without the overlay just the tactical transducer options make Gtr2 feel so much better
Hope this gives Gtr2 some second wind as it opens up a lot of new opportunities for the ol' race sim.
Just the Crew Chief and VR alone and great options.
To 'fix the Steam Gtr2.exe
open GTR2.exe in a hex editor and find Porsche Ferrari and just overwrite them with any letter like X
Apply the 4gb patch
You also hex edit in the weatherpatch as the .exe are unprotected.

So this won't work at all then on the normal GTR2 exe (non-steam). That's a shame

Will it work on the steam version if you archive it and play it 'outside' of steam?
I have a g27 and it'd be nice to smooth the gear ran wheel out a bit!

The Steam version of Gtr2 do not use steam or need steam at all
you can and should put it somewhere else .
The only downside to the Steam version is that XD and trackmap doesn't work but since Simhub does who cares.
One thing more i forgot is that the clip planes in the steam version looks to be using feet where the old nocd uses meter as distances
At least a factor of 3.2 works well
in defview .com
ClipPlanes=(0.175000, 500.000000) change that to ClipPlanes=(0.550000, 500.000000)
Then the flicker is gone and the display are way more clear than the nocd version.
in your .plr file, find Rearview Front Clip="1.00000"
And change that to Rearview Front Clip="3.20000" or 3.5
And you will not have the steering wheel in the rearview mirror anymore.

This is great! A couple of questions: How do we install the rFactor plugins, for instance, RealFeel? And I have also installed Simhub but the FFB modifications don’t seem to work. Could it be because my wheel which is a Logitech DFGT, is just not compatible?

Rf1 Plugins/ API support are not complete and a lot or even most do not work or just partly works
We got different opinions on if Real Feel works .
Fine a version of the 0.92 drop the Realfeelplugin.dll in the Gtr2\plugins folder
Real feel will then create a RealFeelplugins.ini in the Gtr2 root folder.
The Simhub pedals and FFB meter does not work with Gtr2 nor AMS or Rf1.
Pedals movement works in the Hex edited for Gtr2 GID 1.15

Could someone reupload Steam version of GTR2 exe? I cant load leaderboard or other SIMHUB plugins. I want to try GTR 2 with Sim Hub so much!!!
