Actually no, in 99 Friesinger had a standard 98 spec 3.6, they just were a really well run team.
I talked to someone who worked at Roock in 2000, he said that the 3.8 was making 550 in endurance trim, the craziest output I've heard from a GT2 Porsche was the DM car at Sebring in 99, I was told that somehow eeked 650 HP out of a 3.6, which probably explains why it didn't last long in the race

That's interesting because for ALMS 2000, the Roock Porsche as well as other Porsche GT2s that weren't Konrad (which is listed as 500PS in the image below) are listed as having 485PS (475-ish HP) for the Nurburgring event. Granted different series so different restrictors in play, but it does the show the huge difference in power between the Viper (rated at 570PS/562HP) and the Porsche GT2.

Yeah I don't trust entry guides, they're wrong a lot of the time, i'd be surprised if Proton managed to get a 3.8L in 2000

I've also been going through every Porsche i've done and make necessary additions. fixes and color corrections. Here's some examples of updated skins:
Paragon Motorsports Porsche is now updated with a more accurate color and all missing logos added

championship questions
I have a couple of questions:
1. In the base game during a full 3 hour race there were usually one or two AI that would drop out due to mechanical issues, as well as an occasional spin out either by themselves or against another AI. I seem to notice that I never see an AI wreck and I never see an AI drop out of the race. The racing is fun, but it seems like the AI just go around the track without ever making a mistake or having a mechanical issue. I'm just wondering, were they improved over the base game?
2. Is the weather scripted in championship mode? The reason I ask is I re-started a career many times just to see if the weather would be different, and it is always clear.
3. Does my teammate have a rating? My teammate seems a little slow, but I can't see any driver file with his name. Is there a way to change his ability or is it just the way it is?
Thanks again, for the large collection of great cars and championship seasons! It will take me a long time to complete 10 championships, then switch to a different car/class and start over lol!

Number 2, weather is always clear in races. It's just a limitation that GTR has, I don't know why.
Number 1, the only thing I can think of for this is to make sure reliability settings for races/championships are set to realistic. I've done a couple of races in the 2000 season and had mechanical retirements in both, so it does work.

Thats not entirely true, there is a weather patch that fixes this however idk where to find it anymore.

It's not true. You can get wet races. The problem is, during race (unlike other sessions) weather doesn't change, so you won't get a rain mid-race or drying conditions. The mod currently doesn't have any talent files, so the AI just sort of runs to their car's ability right now.
