I don't understand what do you mean about the tyres. The rain tyres are working as normal rain tyres. The only strange thing that I've noted during my quick tests is the default tyre selection and the line Rim=(....) in tyr file (not present on other tyr files).

My tests:
-100% rain with standard F550
the default tyres are the rain tyres
-100% rain V8SC
the default tyres are the dry tyres (and AI stops after one lap)

Is this your "tyre bug"?

EDIT:
The real tyres were all hard tyres? I could make softer tyres if they are missing.
Rain tyres are don't working. You can choose them but your car behaves like it's a dry race. AI can't equipe it's cars with rain tyres, so they start to pit every lap for it and the race bacomes a farse.

Commodore VX reworked.

Ok, now is clear.  BTW I insist that rain tyres are working for human players. My wet lap times are much more better with rain tyres than dry tyres and my car slips a lot less.

This is my to do list:
1-improve again the TRD1 Falcon
2-Fix tyres
3-create template for Commodore VX (Am I able after reading a tutorial?)

And this my plan:
1) point 1: I don't know what I could do. I will dedicate one hour but if the 3d model does not improve I will give up.
2) point 2: The AI will be able to select rain tyres.
3) Release the mod
4) point 3: Learn how to make a template (and hopefully release it)
5) Small break and then focus on other projects

That would be perfect! Major progress upon V8 Supercars for GTR2 at last!

As for me, that's what I'm planning to do:

1) Remake existing templates in 1024x1024 resolution with improved details and make them usable.

2) Remake entire 2003 carset with new templates in high quality (that will be quick deal).

3) Add some missing full time entries to 2003 carset.

4) Start working on 2004 carset from scratch.

It's out!!!!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The tyr problem was solved adding new compounds. If there is some compound missing the cars become crazy when it rains.

I had a bad surprise. GTR2 takes the tyr file with the same name in first position in alphabetical order:

/Teams/A/B/MyTyr.tyr  <------This is always the only tyr used. Even if you are driving only cars in /Teams/C folder
/Teams/A/D/MyTyr.tyr
/Teams/B/MyTyr.tyr
/Teams/C/MyTyr.tyr

Shocked

@Desperate Man: Are you happy now??? Laughing (2002 is available)

I cannot do anything better than this:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Are these templates good enough?

P.S. Don't save the textures more than 512 x 512. The FPS will drop above this threshold and you won't have benefit.

I could but I forgot what I did to create the first ones What a Face (too many steps) . I have to search again the tutorial...

BTW the new mod contains the templates for MMM V8 mod. You can start from there.

Good to know PHR420. We will have to paint them anyway.

I was checking what seasons could be done using what we have. Are there 2007-2008 skinpacks for this mod (even rFactor)?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

From what I see, aesthetically, the falcon ba is like the falcon bf. Someone could paint the bf and convert the holden rF skins (if they exist).
It's only an idea, a suggestion. I will start soon my next project so I won't work on this.

P.S. About the physics I compared the Bathurst laptimes. From 2001 to 2010 the fastest lap was 2:07-2:08. The physics should be the same? Maybe 5 or 10 more hp... but it should be the same. Am I wrong?

This is awesome!!!
I know i have been quiet since the initial post but i honestly had nothing to offer. I got a little drunk one night and had a selfish, yet tongue-in-cheek whinge about the cars i wanted to see in the game and i felt a little silly haha.
Thank you guys for sharing the love!!!

Hey gyus!

I'm searching for the data on 2003 Bathurst 1000 Wildcard entries. I've searched the net for photos and articles but managed to find only few bits here and there. It's not enough to paint those cars properly.

In particular I need photos and sponsors info of Robert Smith Racing (most goth team's name in entire motorsport Very Happy ), Holden Young Lions/John Faulkner Racing and Sydney Star Racing. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

The 96 that did the konica race has the same livery as the 46
