AMS Tracks

are you doing this with rfactortools? im still holding back on buying AMS because i literally got all major tracks ion this planet and i think im dying without my north american open wheel/sportscar series if i cant drive on those tracks. is converting them this easy with the tool without any issues afterwards?

Which tracks are you specificallly targeting for AMS? Because most NA tracks are in AMS already, like Road Am., Road At., Sebring, Daytona, VIR, LRP, etc. Only major one I can think of that is missing would be Miller Motorsports park.

oh well thats a nice little collection. i have a total of 315 tracks and there are only a few that are "doubled" because of old and new layouts. i figure if its so easy as it seems to be and works with regular cars too i might finally jump the ship from old rf1

Damn, hadn't even clocked that it's a complete collection of tracks! Definitely nice to add some of those I didn't have yet

I use both (rF1+AMS) and GTR2, where is the problem?

Btw this "rfactortool" is a pretty cool thing, have rf1 "Ultimate_GT3" konverted in few minutes
for example, needed a new srs file only.

This track (2.0) do not work again

well, it´s good for a quick conversion.
If you want to benefit from all the new things added to AMS, it of course needs a little more than that... :-)

Hm, for me it's working, perhaps you are missing some other files,  like "commonmapsGSC.MAS" etc.
will check it out later, work is calling.

A bit strange,
working as it is (AMS-MillerMotorspark_V2.0.7z - 82.4MB), no other files needed!
Even in a clean AMS-Installation without any other content.
Maybe try a new track download, it got updated last night, though, both versions work for me.
Same issue with ALL cars?
To avoid restrictions/conflicts from/with any other custom stuff, use a original reiza car
(Stock Car V8) like me and/or let Steam check your AMS-Installation via "repair-function".

the track finally is work but the sky in a problem of texture, I have a texture of the end of the afternoon . So that he works, I added file of circuits which dann converted for AMS (simraceway tracks)

Since yesterday evening the track has an additional file > SRPL_SKY3_SUN1.GMT!
Maybe your prob ( sky sun), the earlier version worked perfect for me though!

What would be awesome to see is Valencia Richard Tormo " track. I have a great looking version here for AMS , but it is also screwed up with bad Ai , just like the GSCE version was. Whoever created it , never worked the Ai in correctly. I dig that track a lot....and pisses me off I can't race on it haha.

doesnt AMS have something like a track path editor? i know rf1 had one that stopped working at some point with windows 7 and 8

If it does , I have no idea on how to use it. It's one awesome track that never got the love for the Ai. And the guy did a great job building it. I think Climax even re-vamped it and made it look even better , but the Ai is still bad.

Definitely not one of tracks that I updated but would be interested at looking at the track and see what I can do about the AI.
Just post a link to the track or mail me and I will see what I can do.
I should actually make some time to upload some other tracks that I finished.
Donnington, Brno, Hockenheim and Mugello are a few that I have finished.

Both Valencia Tracks, "Street"  and  "Ricardo Tormo" are in the Track-Collection a few posts above.
But take care, some mismatches, have had to edit gdb's, loading screen aso.
Otherwise, if you install both, you get  one and the same track twice!

not that i know of.
you need to convert the track back to rf1 and you need at least Win7 to get the old rf1 AIW tool working.
At RD the AMS guys like Gringo or Giranton are doing magnificent stuff but they are not willing to share their knowledge...
Maybe they are not allowed to, i don´t know.

the tracks i did were all reconverted and then put back into AMS.
That´s why it is a pain in the ass with really new tracks for AMS.

Nevertheless, our member ClimaxF1 is doing some outstanding work by bringing some tracks to the graphic standard of AMS.

Will have a look at them @GTR2-Freak although from my side I don't think I would be interested in Valencia street, have seein a few versions and it's tough track to make look decent without rebuilding the entire track with new textures and is also not my type of track.

Thanks for the kind words @Triebie , I try me best to work the tracks to get them as natural as possible, some better than others, all depends on the base track and it's condition which I'm sure you would know plenty of.

Will have a look at some of the other tracks that I finished, don't have 300+ like someone mentioned, maybe 200 tracks but all are in working condition and some have turned out really well with all the updates.

Always get caught up in other things but will find the time to start uploading some decent tracks again.
