Right now I'm using physics from 1997 FIA GT mod but maybe I'll switch to CLK-LM... I don't know

I'd say by the end of the season on tighter courses the Porsche was as good.............just didn't have the Bridgestone tires. You could say exactly the same about 98 too. I think one thing that's needed if you want to get an authentic mod for 97 and 98 is to have Bridgestone tire file.

Speaking of 1997. I just made race specific carsets for the old mod, and its biggest flaw is that the tracks can't fit enough cars. Donington for example only fits 32 cars, but 43 were entered to that race. 47 were entered at Hockenheim, but the track I have only fit 28.
Was the original mod ever released with an enhanced track set?

Pretty sure no. As I remember a lot of queries on which tracks were needed. I find once you get past 36 cars you start to get problems with GTR2. The more you add the more problems you get. And Donnington is the longest of tracks.
What happens if you run more than 32? Is it on a standing start or running start?
One idea is to check NAGP's GTR2 released tracks. I know they added pit spaces to their track list to fit more cars than the standard tracks.

The problem that arises, when you increase the grids, is not the standing or rolling start (because you only have to add the position in your aiw) but the pit spots and the new garage spots. Probably Donington doesn't have enough space for more cars. Correct me if I'm wrong because I only edited few tracks till now to add 2/3 more cars when possible.

I'll take care of tracks, but first I need to finish Bucharest Ring.
Fitting 43 cars on Donnington will be quite a challenge but it's possible to do.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I just checked Nürburgring and had this major slowdown one time, it seems it's just GTR2 AI derping out when there's too much slower cars in front of it. I don't know if I can find a solution for this problem.

So here it is, CLK GTR is ready. Well, sort of, display is still not working, maybe someone can fix it.
If you find any issue, please report it so maybe I'll be able to fix it.

Than You very much Lukasz
Does anyone have the 1997 V12 sounds that this car had ?
I did a YouTube search and this came up

I had no idea the model on this version was actually really good. I asked for some help on this as I currently cant make a template because of how high poly it is. Body might need remapped but I'll find that out once I can make a template.
I'd ask scorpyo if he'd be willing to help you out. For my NSX I stole the motec from the viper and got it to work however I did struggle with it for awhile.
BTW its finally finished...better then nothing

Maybe the Pagani Zonda sounds of the rFactor Shift Street mod can be useful as the Zonda engine has the same base as the CLK-GTR (but with larger displacement).

You just have to add the files FNTCMOTL.BMP, FNTCMOTM.BMP and FNTCMOTS.BMP into the CLK_GTR_CPIT.GTR file and you'll be fine.

I saw this done on Verde's SARD, but I don't quite remember who did it. Was it anyone from around here? I think there were two of these entered for the Suzuka 1000km round of the FIA GT and two showed up at Le Mans as well.

"The team also entered the 1997 24 Hours of Le Mans, but driver Olivier Grouillard failed to make it past pre-qualifying.[41] Two cars were also entered in the FIA GT Championship round at the 1997 Suzuka 1000km (one by Team Menicon SARD and one entered by IDC Ootsukakagu SARD), but neither car managed to finish. It was replaced for the following year with the Toyota GT-One." (WIKIPEDIA)
BTW I never saw this version of the SARD on GTR 2 ...

I don't have the files in front of me, but didn't the mod already have all possible skins bar the LM97 DNPQ ones? It looked great in black, would be nice for someone (Cheeveer?) to paint those aswell.
In case the FIA GT ones are missing, I guess it's only fair to contribute with a source for that photo where there are pictures of both cars so that someone has enough references to paint them all.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And as a bonus, here's a photo of the #39 chased by a Panoz and a McLaren not featured on the website above.

This particular 1997 version doesn't exist but someone did the '97 FIA GT skins on the '96 model regardless. I think it was a fellow who did the whole FIA GT 1997 field but I don't remember him sharing anything, just posting pictures

Yup Tonicar did a lot of skins of the era and shared zilch. Even after several requests.
At Suzuka both Sards (I think both) did out qualify the Kremmer 911 GT1 (although that car had to be rebuilt before qualifying).

2000 and 2001 season cars are painted in a really low quality.
