Open server feedback

Any adjustment you guys would like to see?
Race lenght is ok for a open server? I thought about having it 15 minutes intead of 20.

Yeah, 20 minutes is quite too long.

Yeah most of open servers have 10 ~ 15 minutes it fits more when you need to go to next event and let more people join. And it avoids people having to slow down to wait for others when cars start to spread (was checking live racers now the guys were doing that, also funny liveracers show what people are saying in chat, didn't know that)

Yeah a bit shorter races.

ok, I changed to 14 minutes, should be good enough for 2 classes to have their fun. Setting this based on a Brasilian server I race from time to time (stock V8), its races are 12 minutes, fits nicely.

a bit longer practice time would be appreciated to gather more drivers or to simply practice a bit longer ; )

Really guys don't lock the server by starting a race with only you online!!! Vote to restart weekend or go to next race instead.

Just a question, and might sound a bit stupid. But guys who are not league drivers but still like to turn some laps with the GT3s like me can run on this server just fine, right?

Yes, the server has no password, anyone can join. Races are only 14 minutes, it's just for fun

Will maybe consider to enable flying starts? Porsche always have big advantage in standing start...

Trust me you don't want a formation lap in a public server

Isn't it possible to do flying Start without formation Lap?

Ah and please make only one Race, we skipped all 2nd races anyways today

I've already edited the .plr to make it only 1 race but it needs a restart. And i have absolutely no idea how to start the 2nd server

Wait, what dedi server you changed? Public server = DedicatedServer2, the first one is for league, keep the first one with 2 races

Dedicated server2 for sure, also in the plr it said Monza which was the current track when i changed it.

To start the second server you select here
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Dedi server = league
Dedi server 2 = public

Then pick the mod, the race options should be saved there so you shouldn't need to add them again

I'm new to Rfactor, i have a copy when it was released, but i was playing LFS .

Yeah if race is on you can't join, except if you join as spectator. But there is live racers so you can always check the session status (I think it's a bit delayed but it's usefull to check that)
