Using your cellphone as a wheel
Found this on YouTube, maybe some people here already know it.
Works pretty well, just shakes a bit too much. Getting used to the controls and finding a good setting may take a while.

You can make your own control with brake and throttle that works like a pedal so you can control it really well or do like in the video where they are buttons.
Samples here
Lola B12 @ Silverstone
BMW Z4 GT3 @ Nurburgring

Re: Using your cellphone as a wheel
Just to add it here. I had problems with peaks and the control not being much precise, sent an email to the developer and he told me to go to my router settings -> Wi fi settings -> Network mode (or something like that) -> There you'll see "Mixed mode xxb/g", do NOT use mixed mode for this. Set it to xxG (here "mode 11g")
I found something kinda interesting.
This is my control #1

You see the green and red bars has sliders, they work exactly like a pedal if you use it like this the game recognize it as a wheel and will block TC and ABS. It's difficult to race like this because you may hit the throttle too fast specially if you are in a corner that you need to turn too much, going from 0 to 100% throttle imediately = you spin any car (except if it's FWD of course).
Now this is my control #2

If you use this one the game will allow you to use TC and ABS. It works like your keyboard or joystick settings but you can still control your car by turning your phone like a steering wheel.
Just remember to always race with it plugged in a USB so you won't run out of battery in the mid of the race, also remember how to set your wifi router properly to make the connection more stable.
If you need to rest your phone/tablet during a pit stop for example press the "return" key of your cell phone, you should see this screen

And then press the return key again once you are ready to drive and can keep your phone in a "normal position". JD Simwheel will go back to the control screen and you can start driving again. (Or try to do some tests and find the key that can do this in your phone, here it's the return key).
If you don't do this your car may have a bug like this:

As you can see the front wheels are pointing to different sides so you can't race again.

Re: Using your cellphone as a wheel
That's quite interesting. Maybe I should give that a try.

Ha! This should be interesting to try!
Although tilt controls as a (temporary) replacement for wheel control can be a bit... ethereal.
