Hello from Utah USA!
Hello to everyone! My name is Val Hoggard (last name pronounced: Ho guard), Im 59 summers old, and live alone. And since I don't have a wife anymore to get in my way, my house is my "Man Cave" and I enjoy racing online, playing a little chess and classical guitar, along with doing art work, being around horses when I can and playing golf. When it comes to women I say, I am not afraid of terrorism; I've been married twice!
And I want to add that I am really impressed with this website and look forward to getting acquainted with everyone and doing some GTR2 racing. I have been around online racing for about 10 years and have enjoyed the excitement and realism that racing software has treated us with these days. Lots of great software is coming out. And the "Old Dog" GTR2 is just hanging right in there as one of the best.
I like GTR2, Power and Glory, rFactor 2, and also like to rally with Richard Burns and even Codemasters. My dirt racing interests comes from my motocross days back in the Seventies when the bikes were nothing but jet engine powered dump trucks! I raced a Suzuki 370 RM open class bike. Very heavy and hard to control. I found out how hard to control when the thing put me in the hospital with torn ligaments in my knee. But I still got back on the bike and "gave it hell!"
Like my great friend Tony Smith, who just recently joined up here, I have been raised around horses and rodeo and have developed the cowboy code of honor: Cowboys don't lie, cheat, or steal. Honesty and respect are cherished attributes.
Good luck to all of you and I look forward to some good racing!
Val

Thanks guys! and hello there Stephan!
I want to say that I am happy for all of the welcome messages! I will put my name in my signature and please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to meet the forum requirements. And it is great to see Stephan is still racing!
I must add that my energy level is a little low right now. I just got through with a long cancer battle. I am cancer free now but the side effects from the chemo and radiation have taken a toll. But I love racing and refuse to give up. I will do my best to make my appearance here as pleasant as possible.
It is good to see some old friends again! Stephan Bailey, it is super to see you here! Also, my racing partner from CMS, Tony Smith, has joined up here too. We are still doing CMS historics racing and I am doing their rFactor 2 Fun Series when I can. But we are looking for some good racing back with the GTR2 world and maybe some rFactor 2. I think we have found the place to be. You guys from over the pond are excellent drivers and very hard to beat. I know Stephan Bailey is super fast!! I look forward to the challenge as I know Tony does!
May the track always be under you!

Welcome here!
We have some nice champs here, and it's great to see the grid become bigger as time goes on.

You must have seen the gif file I was experimenting with for my avatar. It WAS too big. How does this one look?

The driver in the avatar
The driver in the avatar is me so of course its ugly! I changed the face from a rat fink driver and put an old racing helmet on.
At least I think I changed the rat fink face...sure as hell don't look like I did.

Thanks guys!
I appreciate all the welcomes and look forward to doing some racing. I must add that my cancer battle has taken its toll. I tire easily but will do my best to race as much as I can.
Have a good one!
