This is the conversion of Zin5ki's AC mod. The car should represent the
real car that raced during the 1996 season.
The original mod had 3 skins. I have been able to create #20's sister car.
I tried to paint 1996 prequalifications cars (#31,#32) but skill issues
and lack of logos (like echappement walker & others) stopped me.

The car would require a 3d update in order to look like an Helem V6.
The difference are the front bumper and a larger and squared rear "lip"
(I don't know its correct name). I hope someone much more skilled than
me will consider doing it.

Genstring help in each cas or car file.
Templates available except prequaly rear wing. You can use the 1995 BPR
Toyota Supra to paint it. The mapping is an half nightmare but luckily
every car used the same paint scheme.

Thank you very much for this car! One more addition to the BPR seasons that are slowly becoming as complete as it gets. It could also work as a substitute for the roofless Renault Spider that raced in the FIA GT 2000 & 2001 Spa 24 hours! This and the SSZ Stradale are the two only cars missing from that giant (and awesome) mod.

Thank you very much kk08 for this rare appearance, it's a pity that it didn't start at Lemans in 1996.
When I saw this mod released for AC I didn't think that it would be brought to gtr2 so quickly, bravo.
If even this obscure car is now in gtr2 I hope that the chances of a Callaway C7-R gt1 mod being brought/done someday for gtr2 really increase from 0% to 5%, nice job!

If you find a 3d model with a decent mapping and less the 100000 polygons I can affirm that the chances will increase to 100%.

I had a tinker with this today.

Firstly, has anybody driven this car?  Every time I loaded the game it lagged hard on the grid run through and didn't move at all.  Even though the music still played.

Also, the LM pre quali wing is in Marlboro Supra colours.

I also noticed that in the pits in TV mode, the side vent is see through and you can see smoke, and smoke in the cockpit too.

Anyway,  I decided to make a 'fictional' team, with a 'fictional' 1997 Helem .hdc for something that can run in 1997.

It's slow as it should be, but probably a little too slow.  However, I didn't get to drive it, only allow an AI to drive it.

Anyway here it is.

It shouldn't overwrite any files, if it tries to...don't and let me know.

It'll add a .car file to the 3 'yellow car' folders and make a 3 car team of them.

It uses a PRV V6 from a Venturi LM with a lot more BHP and uses a Mclaren 6 speed gearbox (all taken from the BPR mod by Wildman and friends).

What started as a 5 minute tinker, turned out to be a 2 hour job......sigh.  Anyway, if there's something glaringly wrong or if you feel it needs some speeding up to be at the back of the 1997 grid, let me know.

I just did a quick BPR 96 race at Nogaro with 35 Ai cars and had no problems with the car or gridwalk

Thank you for your contribution! I don't have this problem. The car is no more heavy than standard cars. Have you been able to fix it? (Or someone else had the same issue?)

About the prequaly wing I didn't paint it, so it mantains the marlboro colors and looks weird. I added that team in the hope it inspires a skinner as I failed to find sponsors as stated in readme.

About the smoke, maybe did I put a wrong coordinate for ExhaustVel? I never understood how smoke works because the smoke does not appear where I want at first try, never .
