Hi everybody!

Having been sort of a quiet member here for quite some time I thought it's time to edit my profile and do a proper introduction.
Why I didn't do that in the 1st place? Well, I really believed that closed forums were somewhat against the spirit of the modding community and that you should not keep things behind a private wall.
Looks like I'm severely proven wrong by all those (you know who I mean) who steal, convert and actually sell (!) mods, mostly for AC. As a result more and more modders take their free stuff offline, understandably so.
I see that closed forums are not such a bad idea after all and rather seem to keep the community alive.

So here I am, Bernd Weber, 53 years, living in Germany, midway between Nürburgring and Hockenheim.

I wouldn't consider myself as a modder nor skinner though I'm capable of converting and rearranging car models and making rough skins to fill some grids and also shared some of that stuff from time to time.
Seems to be a little late to apply for access to the private section (yeah, I'm a slow guy...) but you never know...

Main interests are JGTC/Super GT, DTM and everything around GT/prototypes/endurance (simracing + real).
Originally I'm an Rfactor (1) guy but recently had a closer look at GTR2 since there is still a lot of activity in forums (e.g. Trackaholics) while RF1 seems to be quite dead.

Have fun
W.
