The majority of the 2005 cars are from the 2005 season mod that was on nogrip for forever and are the same skins in that 2005 HQ pack i believe. None of us made that one.

Just did a fresh install and followed everything from the downloads thread, followed the readme files about deleting the original GT/NGT/24H folders and added everything in one by one and it keeps crashing.

Loads to the menu but once you click on anything it crashes.

Steam version.

Any ideas?

EDIT - Just deleted the 1997 championship file I'd made in Championship manager and it'll work but I still have issues.

Seems that a) I haven't actually done a clean install, so how do I do that from Steam? When you select cars it still has blank menu's from previous mods (like an option to select cars from the Pantera mod but obviously no files for Panteras)
and b) Porsche teams do not show up no matter what in every version of any mod I try, so 1997 and 1998 has no Porsche whatsoever to select. Tried originally with the 1997 mod off eSport and no Porsche and now the same with going through the files downloaded from here.

I know that Steam's GTR2.exe disables every Porsche or Ferrari. You have to download the nocd patch from esport-racing.de and overwrite the exe.

About other problems, if you don't know which files are modded or not, you should make a clean install and use a "mod enabler" (i.e. JSGME). Take a look at the file structure before modding your install and learn where are located sounds, cars and tracks. This will help you to install and delete properly each mod.

Thanks kk08 for the quick response, I've done the NO-CD mod now so have Porsche's back.

Will give the mod organiser a try now. I'm very new to the scene so trying to find things that I'd bookmarked on nogrip years ago as things I'd love to try when I had access to a capable PC is on the agenda.

Anything you'd recommend for a new modder?

I believe you have to 'archive' the steam version and copy all the files outside of steam. Otherwise when steam is updated it'll rewrite your files?? Something like that anyway.

I was never really a great GT enthusiast (except with the 90s GT1 cars)
But I was biased to try this mod collection as a whole package
And yes. I have a hell of a time in here, great fun
And it makes me approach of the GTR2 as I never was before

Was the Diablo's ride height seriously that low? I can barely see anything above the gauges! Is this a bug? Any fix? Do i have an outdated version of the mod? This almost makes it impossible to drive it on hilly tracks like spa please help this gives me so much need for speed nostalgia.

The Diablo GTR mod car doesn't have a comfortable height. It would need some twiddling. It's not too bad if you use a wheel, however on a controller yeah very difficult.

Atleast you can adjust the Fov with your mouse as a work around

I tried to download the mod from this link but unfortunately the 2000-2009 cars link doesn't work for me.
In Mediafire it keep saying that is generating a new download key. I don't know if it's just me, but is quite strange since all the other links worked well for me. Do you know if there is a way to fix it?

The PTG cars were self developed, if you look at tye 94 IMSA cars they almost look like road cars, I think they may have gotten some assistance from BMW with the ADAC car, but I don't think they were the same ones

that's true, I checked as well and you're stuck on an endless loop of Mediafire trying to 'generate a new link' that never works, a.e. the download never starts.
