Volkswagen MK1 GTI

Hi Guys

Some of you may have seeing a few preview pics of this little beast and I can finally give the first taste of my little baby.

I also want to thank all who have shown interest and I hope that you will enjoy this one.

This is basically a full rebuild from top to bottom with several alterations that are of my own personal taste.

Update details:

- Complete rework/rebuild with new files and textures
- New engine and gear files
- Upgraded to a 2.L MK1 Golf GTI - 517hp/510Nm
- ffb settings added
- vw_golf_mk1_Upgrades file added
- New hdv file
- Complete rebuild of the interior - New gauges with new needles, replaced all textures with new one's and added new shaders
- New MOMO Prototipo steering wheel added
- Mirrors fixed
- Original VW textures for the lights and badges
- New tire's and rims
- Eight skins so far for now including my personal one (Forge Motorsport Special)
- Complete new sound pack wth sfx. sound setup file
- New shaders and shader pack added
- New cam file
- Series file and icon added
- Various settings and file tweaks

If your prior projects are any indication, I'm sure it will be great.  Thanks for all you contribute, Climax.

Here are some other cars that I just finished that have received the same treatment as the VW.

Also complete rebuilds with new shaders, shaderpack, tire's with break disc's, sound packs, sfx sound files, interior texture upgrades, skin packs, new AI, full FFB and much more.

I will be back home this week coming and will be able to do some final tests and start making proper files for upload.

To be honest this car has being finished for some time now. There's one skin and I asked for some help or interest and really never got a response.
Am busy with some other stuff and will probably eventually come round to making a few skins and upload the pack.

What a companion ... I see your Spanish flag on your banner and it makes me assume that you speak Spanish. Of course it is much easier for me if we can communicate in this language.
The truth that seeing the images you posted here, I think this would be the mod that I like most of all that I have, I love that type of touring cars, I'm really enthusiastic that you can bring it to light ... as I said in my post Previously, I have no problem in making some skins for this mod ... something simple of the "TC Clasic" style of the AMS itself or something similar, so we do not roll up so much, but I have no problem sitting down to throw lines.
I hope you get this mod soon because I think it would be my favorite within the AMS.

Que tal compañero... veo la bandera de España en tu banner y me hace suponer que hablas español. Por supuesto que se me hace mucho mas fácil si nos podemos comunicar en este idioma.
La verdad que viendo las imágenes que posteaste aquí, creo que este sería el mod que mas me guste de todos los que tengo, amo ese tipo de turismos, estoy verdaderamente entusiasmado de que puedas sacarlo a la luz... como dije en mi post anterior, no tengo problema en hacer algunas skines para este mod... algo simple del estilo "TC Clasic" del propio AMS o algo similar, para no enrollarnos tanto, pero no tengo problema en sentarme a tirar lineas.
Ojalá saques pronto este mod porque creo que sería mi preferido dentro del AMS.

Hi Guys

One of the three skins I did in the download (Forge Motorsport Special) was still in it's uncompressed format for higher quality. This I normally do when designing skins for better quality but this is much too high for AMS 32 Bit. Have made the changes in this update.

Update details:

- Correct Forge Motorsport skin size added (5.3mb instead of 21.3mb)
- Martini skin added
- New MOMO Prototipo steering wheel added
- Adjusted all the // ATTENUTATION sounds (much smoother through the gears and better sound quality)

One thing I forgot to mention, for those that are interested making some skins, my only request is to keep it simple and classic.

Your typical 80's, 90's style liveries.

Not really interested in over the top graphics or any modern liveries.

Less is more here...

Hi Guys

I wasn't on planning to update so soon or until I had some more skins but I just had to share this one with you guys.

This is the first time I've done a Marlboro skin and I think the result looks super nice if a may say so.

Not the easiest livery to do when there's no template, a bit like putting a jigsaw puzzle together.

My design is based on the #48 LeMans Porsche 911 RS Sonauto BP Racing team.

Special thanks to Triebie for making new files for the mirrors.

- Over the next few days there will be some more liveries added as soon as I recieve them and have completed more of my own one's to further increase the number of cars on the grid.

- There will also be some minor updates that will address problems with ffb for those few who having problems. New ffb settings and realfeel ini. with new veh. files will be added.

- Some more adjusments and settings will be added to the AI with AMS's latest features and other settings including minor sound tweaks to the sound.

I really appreciate all the comments and feedback recieved so far and hope that you guys are enjoying this little beast.

Hi Guys

Here we have the Kamei livery which is one of my favorites for this car.
This wasn't the easiest skin to do because there's no template, the car's mapping and also because of the large front and rear wheel arches.
I've done my best to get it as accurate as one possibly can and with out the decals looking distorted.

I have tested the ffb settings with a wheel and controller and have had no problem.

That said, myself and many others had no problems before but there were those few who had some issues with the ffb.

Hopefully this update will solve the ffb for you guys that had problems.

There are various settings available to choose from.
