Re: 2005 British GT
For the Xero Corvette (#51) I just use the original Dunlop wheels from the 2003 Excelsior car. Probably not the same as the actual wheels that the real car has, but it'll do.

Re: 2005 British GT
- Well, finally I've decided to paint the ProSport 3000 using the Ultima GTR.
- About the Corvette rims, I'm not gonna make any change, so it will still using the original Dunlop rims from 2003.
Here is a list with all the cars that I want to paint:
---- Next week release ----
#26 Rob Horsfield Racing
#69 Eclipse Motorsport
#78 Graham Nash Motorsport
---- September release ----
#23 Motorbase Performance
#33 Bill Barrett Motorsport (Silverstone)
#36 Bill Barrett Motorsport (Castle Combe)
#96 Team RPM (Thruxton)
#96 Team RPM (Castle Combe)
#40 Trident, If I can find a car that looks like it, I'll paint it.

Just use a Cerbera and remove the rear wing.

Re: 2005 British GT
This could work for the Trident. The Tuscan challenge car has pretty much the right shape and it doesn’t come with a wing so no removing necessary here. Mod for it is here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Obviously, new physics would be needed.

Re: 2005 British GT
Well I will include the BBS rims as it doesn't need any major change, thanks Osamu.
About the Trident and the TVRs, I don't know anything about modding so I prefer the Tuscan but it doesn't include any template, do you know if exists a template for this car, Kris?
Thanks for help guys.

Re: 2005 British GT
there is another issue with the Trident, not only did not start a race but one of the drivers is in the no 78 Graham Nash Porsche 996
maybe the list should be updated with the no 2 Cadena Mosler ?

Unfortunately, I have no idea about a template. I don't think one exists for it either. I checked the one I linked and the rFactor conversion of it, and there was no template in either of them.

This is not an issue, just use different drivers...

Re: 2005 British GT
nice , should boost the GT2 field a bit more
I wonder what caused the decline of GT2 class in british GT , in 2006 season you only had an average of 4 GT2 on a race and the grand total is not that big, just 7 entries .... for 2007 the class was axed
- 1 Ferrari 430 - Scuderia Ecosse
- 6 Vauxhall Monaro - Emotional Engineering
- 22 Porsche 996 GT3 - Team Eurotech
- 36 Porsche 996 GT3 - Cirtek Motorsport
- 57 Panoz Esperante - Team LNT
- 69 Mosler - Eclipse
- 77 Mosler - Rollcentre Racing

Re: 2005 British GT
Interestingly the ProSport dates all the way back to 1993 (when it first ran). I believe it might be an old Group C spec car. Considering, back in '93 it was racing in the Interserie in the Divison 2 class, racing with Spices and Argos, which are Group C cars. There were also 4 of them planned to be entered at Le Mans in 1992. But they never ran. Also, the car appears to have had the same Ford Cosworth 3.0L non-Turbo V6 (essentially a tuned-up version of the Ford Scorpio engine putting out around 320hp) since the 90's. But of course, this is gonna mean a new engine (and gearbox, it's a Hewland 5-speed.) is needed for the car. And it also turns out the designer of the car also designed the Ultima as well.

I don't know what happened but it was a shame. I think usual British teams were running out of the UK to participate in international championships like LMS, ALMS o FIA GT. Anyway, I think 2006 and the next years were very bad for GT racing and specially for national championships.

Very interesting info Kris, I've been searching about this in the last days. I will need some help with the Gearbox because I don't know anything about.
About the sound of the car I found this video:
So, what's the more accurate sound to use in the Prosport?

I've heard the same sound in my P&G3 install. I don't remember which car. Probably the sound of my Cerbera Speed 12 mod (made by Mildrew) is similar too.

Re: 2005 British GT
for future project consideration perhaps
there is a skin pack which surprisingly was never finished.... and is interesting as the series had 3 classes and we can have a complete grid !!!
French GT 2008 only the GT2 class was done originally
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
someone else made GT1 class seems
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
so only needed the GT3 class and put it all together in a one complete pack
GT3 list
Viper
- 42 Ruffier Racing
- 65 - 66 GCR
- 74 R T R
- 78 Ruffier Racing
- 79 France
997 Cup
- 67 GCR
F430
- 46 - 55 - 57 AS Events
- 68 Sport garage
- 69 Sport Garage
- 70 Sport Garage
- 71 Sport Garage
- 81 Ferrari GB Motorsport
- 90 Thierry Boutsen Energy Racing
Gallardo
- 54 - 58 First Racing
- 61 Ruffier Racing
- 62 Ruffier Racing
Ford GT
- 82 - 83 Matech GT Racing
French GT soldierd on with this structure into 2009 but GT2 class was dead, there was single 997 RSR entry thru the season but GT1 class swas dying , only 6 regular entries most of the time (9 in total)
from 2010 onwards it became GT3 only like most GT championships

I didn't try it yet but Cerbera seems to be so different than Prosport, as TVR uses a 7.7L V12 and the other it's a 3.0L V6.

Guys I'm trying install this mod in a clean installation and I'm having some troubles, probably due to different .gtr default files or something like that. I don't know if I will upload it this afternoon, if I can't I will upload it in late august.

If you originally intended this to use the 00-09 mod it won't work with a Vanilla install since Lukasz added in several more genstring options to cars.
