Really looking forward to the finished skin packs of 1997-1999. I got a pretty good GT1 field already for those years, but my GT2 fields are a bit of a clusterfuck. Great to see something this cohesive in the works!

'Still competitive'?  1996 was the peak of the F1.  However would MVR have been competitive?  Doubtful.

I get the anti homologation feelings against 97 but I don't know............personally I think Mclaren and their road car structure had a massively unfair advantage in 95/96.  At least 1997 was an open slate.  Only Ferrari had a race car for the road, nobody else.

Is the "GT1" era being released separately? I personally would recommend it and if so I am up for doing talent files as well

if you see the 95-96 season reviews   you see the Ferrari F40 was faster and later the Lotus Esprit Turbo was on par with the F1   ,   they simply were not reliable enough which allowed the F1 to dominate



BTW thh Ferrari F50 GT intended for the 97 season   but supposedly when Ferrari saw the Porsche 911 Gt1 and Mercedes CLK GTR they chicken out

It depends. If the 1999 season is finished before I finish this (which is highly possible), I will release all 3 years in one pack.

1999 will be its own release I can tell you that much.

Back when I first finished the 1998 season I ran a few races and tried to run the field like it wouldve been back then so to finish high in the Proton Porsche was almost impossible. I mainly did this through weight changes though. But 97 and 98 seasons really do need talent files to work correctly i imagine.

not realy. Look the F50 GT1 is based on a F50, BUT the Porsche GT1 and especially the Mercedes has nothing to do with a road Porsche oder Mercedes.

That F50 was a real GT1 , but the 97´Porsche and Mercedes was LMP cars.

I've found a little bug with the #52 Renauer Porsche 996 RSR from 2006 season. The ULTRA_TEX .gtr file contains the right texture (2048x1024) but the name isn't right so the game is loading the low quality texture (1024x512).

The Ferrari was competitive against the F1s in 95 and 96.  However the same applies.  A super brand with a super car that was a race car for the road.  It was unfair to expect manufacturers to be able to compete with cars like this.   A company like Porsche did not have the client base at the time to do such a thing.  Companies like Panoz......impossible.

Also how many road going F40 GTEs were there?  Certainly more Porsche 911 GT1s.  So if they did things the other way around, which Mclaren and Ferrari did, would there be the stigma?

As for the Lotus Espirit GT1 that's the car that started the whole thing running.  The Espirit was a homologation.  They also never met the road going version criteria.  The same as in 1997.  This car was never competitive, but that's mainly due to budget.  At times they could compete for a short period of a race, but that's more than reliability there.  When they had the reliability (or better reliability) they weren't very competitive.  I think Spa 1996 race shows great comparison of all 96 cars at their peak.

The F50 GT never had a GT1 spec, though it was planned to be a GT1.  Lambo and Ferrari were planning entries for 1997.  However they scrapped their plans when they saw the Porsche GT1.  The lambo would never be competitive and the F50 GT may never or would need a lot of work.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] How is the F50 GT any worse than the Porsche..........because it resembled an F50 more than the Porsche did a 911?  It was a more of a silhouette than the Porsche was.  And again there were more road going versions of the Porsche than there ever could have been of the F50.  I think you are confusing the F50 road car and the F50 GT.

You can use this, idk if Lukasz will want to fill it in with drivers he plans on using or if you just want to fill your own in based off the more well-known driver.

I have painted the Bitters on F302's Elise GT1 as a stop-gap. If there's interest I can upload them.

Any progress on the Morgan?

I'd love to have the Bitters even on the standard unaltered lotus model...just throw in a viper engine and sound and it would be a good substitute!!

Your free to fill in that spot however I have a strong dislike of just filling the grid for the sake of it. Which was why I originally said I wasn’t gonna do any Saleens until a better model popped up which luckily did.

I sent the Morgan over to Sylph, so it's in the "cleaning up" phase from what he said about it.

I insist on a modified front bumper!!! Can't place four logos on the current one - this is just not serious! New front bumper will be needed for 2001 PSI skins as well as 2002 #97 Spa entry.
