The Vette can be painted on C5.R version because it's close enough so that's not a big deal.intelpower wrote:the no 84 Corvette C5 seems very interesting

Yeah, it's not very accurate but it's better than nothing.intelpower wrote:EDIT guess you mean this version, had no 44 at this race , personally can't stand silouttes that much and it's not that accurate, some of the other guest entries in this race are IMO moe interesting

weird , the supposed 964 CUP looks pretty much like a 993 GT2
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
the C4 Siloutte could be taken and edited a bit from the Corvette Meeting mod from Verde mask

If you want to use Nascar models as placeholders, you're better of with the Cup90 and Asa90 mods and the original Papyrus cars as they're actually what you need to expand in that direction.
Especially as some freaks took those cars and raced them at Daytona and Sebring with little modifications.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Just random examples.
A long time ago I had actually started to convert the NHeat cars (M3, Mustang and Vector with correct GT2/GTS bodies), but lack of interest from pretty much anybody didn't give me much reason to finish them.

@Jer look for Cheever around here, he made those cars you're talking about.

There are some cars in 1999 which are labeled as a different cars, for example Bovi Racing 911 GT2 from 1999 and 1998 is actually a 964 Bi-Turbo.intelpower wrote:weird , the supposed 964 CUP looks pretty much like a 993 GT2

F302 has a conversion of the same E36 model on here already, it's in the private section, so we could use that.

I'll give it a go, but I've heard that converting a car from NR2003 is pain in the ass.ChaosZero wrote:If you want to use Nascar models as placeholders, you're better of with the Cup90 and Asa90 mods and the original Papyrus cars as they're actually what you need to expand in that direction.
Yeah, but the problem is, only one car is a coupe version, the other M3 that raced on Homestead is a sedan version of M3.JERACERX wrote:F302 has a conversion of the same E36 model on here already, it's in the private section, so we could use that.

You mean yet another one of his abandoned projects he never finishes and are a mess to work with anyway? It has been 5 years since he released a beta for that thing and never worked on it ever since.JERACERX wrote:

Only if you do it the conventional way. But I can confirm it's 100% possible.Maxellero wrote:

Yeah, but the problem is, only one car is a coupe version, the other M3 that raced on Homestead is a sedan version of M3.
Even then, it's still more accurate than whatever Ron made with that E36 cup mod.

So I had to do this with unconventional way because basic body shell is already working in gameChaosZero wrote:Only if you do it the conventional way. But I can confirm it's 100% possible.Maxellero wrote:

I get the feeling th SSZ Stradale is just flat out not gonna be in the mod along with the Mosler, since those are stupidly obscure.
Speaking of obscure, did anything ever come of my attempt to piece together the 97 Morgan?

I sent the mostly finished model and default GTL parts. the Sylph a few months back, he said that it was mainly the wing needed to be wider, I needed to add the vents, and that the headlights and grille weren't the most accurate (still better than using the default GTR2 morgan though) And then after that it was a matter of mapping and getting it in game, which I didn't have a clue on how to do

Well, unfortunately I also don't know how to do a mapping, even basic car conversion will be whole new experience to me :v

Regarding the Oldsmobile....i personally don't mind the addition even with the Aerowar 88 model. Its still better than nothing.

Re: FIA GT 2000 - 2009 collection mod [new version of Exige 300RR released]
I dont have the link to that pack anymore since it got buried in my PMs and to be honest I haven't worked on the 97-99 skins since mid March. Its a ton of work and I just wanna play my games for now so who knows when I'll get them done as my motivation is gone to do them right now. I would need a small team to search for photos and logos because thats 90% of the work for these older cars.
I have my full 1998 season that I ran a couple test races on back in January but all the GT1 cars need to be modified as some are way too slow or way too fast and they just crash into the GT2 cars all the time.
If anyone is interested this was the current progress back in March.
Red = WIP by drr6
Yellow = WIP by me / planned WIP that I have material for
Black = No Model
Green = Finished

I have most of the 1997 GT1 cars, but right now I'm not starting any work on older years. I'm just looking for useful stuff that may come in handy when I'll eventually begin this. Now I'm gona release v1.03 patch plus new Exige (still a cockpit to do) and reworked BucharestRing. Next on my to do list is making a trackpack for FIA GT1 2010-2011 plus release a new version of that mod which I have in WIP state for like 2-3 years.

I know this feeling , in TCL with 80s touring cars very often they were sponsored from companies which don't exist anymore or change their logos so very often whole logos had to be recreated , usually I just ripped it from a pic / screenshot and used that as template to recreate it a layer above it

out of curiosity why is the no 6 Porsche listed as GT1 instead of GT1 Evo ? I know very early season it still was GT1 but they quickly switched to EVO
regarding physics make sure to remove RCD files , they are main reason why if you use SKIP instead of time acceleration you get erratic qualy results in GTR 2, in SCC mod it was so bad that GT cars qualified ahead of LMP awith total erratic results

That's what the note is to the side. I had RCD files however this wasn't with skipping qualification it was with time acceleration.

would the physics from the FIA GT 97 by wildman be of any use ?
and might as well take the Saleen Mustang complete with skins from there even if its low poly , that car was quite boxy in real life to begin with

You can use the 97 mod if you want but I dont skin / waste my time on trash looking models.

It could well be worth someone converting the British GT Corvette from ToCA 3, as it is the exact same car!

It's not the same car, the British GT one was actually the ex-Trinkler racing car, this Specter Werkes one stayed in the US iirc, although it'd still be a helluva lot closer than the C5-R still.

They look pretty identical for me, TBH. Their "difference" reminds me CLK GTR/LM or McLaren F1 GTR/F1 LM
Also, ToCa 3 has more than 1 version
