Connection Speed for online races
I don't know if this is the right place, but does anyone know the Internet speed requirements to partecipate in gtr2 online races?
Can I actually get around with this?

Re: Connection Speed for online races
You can race decently even with a 56k modem; important is that the data stream is stable.
This is my speed tonight, and trust me, normally it's a lot slower....

EDIT: What amazes me is that the server used in the test is in another region, while I have the nearest at less than 30km from home.....

Re: Connection Speed for online races
of course you can you can try it tomorrow at the Mégane Cup @ Hungaroring
but there will be a BPR event in Spetember (so in a few weeks) and that's a really pc-friendly mod, so it won't do any lag

GTR2 doesn't ask for that much, as Fab said, it just has to be stable to prevent you from lagging up.

Hello,
And in the case of hosting a race, how much should the minimum?
This is it related to the number of participants?

As GTR2 is a game from 2006, I think everyone with internet on these days can race online

Ok thank you all for your answers.
Actually there's another problem, that is the time difference. I'll try joining a race but I can't guarantee that now (will take a few weeks)

Re: Connection Speed for online races
I have a question, can I join the server by wireless? We don't have any Desktop PC here in home, just notebook/laptop (all with GTR2 xD)

My internet is 600kbps and I can play without problems
Use Leatrix Latency Fix (helped me with League of Legends, not sure if helped with GTR2 as I can't see my own ping there)
