Re: [DEFUNCT] BTCC 2001-2003 Base Mod V3

Team 48
if 2008 season is reached should the infamous Team 48 be included?, they are a real legend in BTCC circles
they advertised themselves as the first all black driver BTCC team, showed up at BTCC Media Day with this pot ugly green Alfa 156 which didn't have any engines and then they were never seen again cos predictably they didn't find any sponsors

Re: [DEFUNCT] BTCC 2001-2003 Base Mod V3
In line with the SEATCZC cars for the Supertouring mod, I've started making the continuation of that series, the ATCC, on the production mod as they used the same cars.

Good news!!The production cars definately need to have more skinpacks. These cars also ran on the bankfin touring car championship(the continuation of the SATCAR series),the belgian procar on their own(after 1997) and the ADAC DTC series.

Don't forget Macau from 2000-2004, are also possible with most of the Production class cars.

I think the South African cars were slightly different, they sounded more racey than super production and had sequential gear boxes.

A few of the ATCC should be good for Macau too, the Guia race was part of their calendar

I know the ST mod is top priority now Simon, but any hope of future updates on this?

Possibly, I want to get 2004 and 2005 done at least.

Re: [DEFUNCT] BTCC 2001-2003 Base Mod V3
Are there any future plans to complete further seasons of this awesome mod? It would be superb to have a full 2000s set of BTCC content to go along with the Super Touring stuff, I'm having a blast!

Yes the FRM team, behind the Super Touring Evolution mod, have plans to integrate this with their mod and plan to expand it to at least 2005/06. But the Super Touring stuff is their main focus for now. So this will come at a much later date.

Re: [DEFUNCT] BTCC 2001-2003 Base Mod V3
recently got the 2005-2006 BTCC seaaon reviews
the 2005 was quite poor in terms of grid size and quality of the field but there was some good action at the front between VXR (mainly Yvan Muller) , Team Dynamics Integras and Jason Plato SEAT Toledo with some occassional flashes of speed by Tom Chilton in the old Civic and the MG of Rob Collard
2006 season was absolutly mega , big grids lots of action both at front and the back and quite balanced grid between the BTC spec and S2000 cars , some of the best BTCC races in the last 20 years were this season and the overall grid including guest appereances (but no duplicates)
- 4 Astra Sport hatch
- 5 Integra
- 3 SEAT Leon (at final round they brought a WTCC car with Red Bull Livery for James Thomson)
- 3 MG (the private MG of Hughes was running the underpowered V6 engine)
- 2 Civic
- 2 Astra Coupe
- 1 Peugeot 307 (BTC spec)
- 1 BMW E46 (Martyn bell thought he landed a killer deal buying ex Schnitzer WTCC car with all the works bits only to find out that those were stripped and he got them with the "normal" parts instead , the works parts cost a lot more extra $$$)
- 2 Alfa 156
- 1 Toledo Cupra
- 4 Lexus (S2000)
TOTAL 28
by comparison the 2005 grid was just 18 entries total
