Mainly for AMS, but I'm at the point now where I should have the time to go back and redo a couple of cars if they are different from the GSCEx models.
I do have a question as I'm not sure how this works. The Aston Martin and Audi has to use a different base, non-wildcard, texture. It is the ASTON_V12VANTAGE_LIGHTS.dds for the Aston and AUDI_R8ULTRA_BADGES.dds for the Audi. In the past you could just put those in the Team folder and the game will take it. This doesn't work for GSCEx. I see in the .veh there is a call out for some cars. This for example:

Extra1="Splitter"
Extra5="Glow"
Can I assign an Extra# to the respective textures for the Audi and Aston? I tried this and got some weird results. Is an Extra# specific to a texture? If so, where can I find these numbers?

the extra textures are wc materials
i will add an explain for each car on their genstring help files for amsso it should be easier to know whats paintable for the painters...
a lights or complete badges i never made paintable, its always just some parts like the grilles and and hood clips (still dont know the right names for these)
what is paintalbe now you can see on the templates as i added for everything a psd... if you want to add colored lightglasses paint it normal on your window and add a line called extra2="window" into the veh file so the wcmaterial will use the window texture... this will change in ams too and windows and lightglass are same material and no more different ones... (reason for the splitting where the "glass" setting for the windows while the lightglasses dont had it)
for badges add a line called extra0="badges" into the veh file and name the the texture xxxxxxxxbadges.dds

Quick update. #19 Audi should be done tonight! Thanks again to Harm for the 2015 base livery! I have an issue getting the Bentley windows to display. I will play around with that a little bit more. It may be a bug.
What I am planning on is to release a pack after I get the #19 completed. That will be 14 cars, which includes all full time entries that have models available. My plan after that is to add the #46 BMW and #90 Porsche from COTA and then the 3 (just announced) additional entries for Long Beach (#11 Ferrari, #44 Audi and #54 Viper) along with any fixes to the original released pack after the Long Beach race.
I think that would be a good enough compromise of you guys getting content and giving me a little bit of breathing room

i found some bugs with wrong named wcmaterial on the cars so maybe it can be the bentley was one of them... the material must be wcwindow but there was a car where it was called wcwindows so it wont work then...
so in case you dont get something to work right it can be you found one of them
but when i saw it i started to have an eye on it so for ams everything should be ok

So I should be painting windows (so you guys can enjoy things), I should be painting different cars (because they are available), I should be practicing for the EEC LeMans Series (Because I'm slow at the moment)....but because I have had a few ( ) and have gotten really good original textures..... (very early WIP, and still need a 3dsimed/ingame model)

Yeah I think I have to reconfirm that. I think the 650S might have slightly different material settings than the other cars. I'm pretty sure I have the same color combinations on the alpha that I do on the other cars. So in theory, it should look the same as the rest.

About Thompson's McLaren I think the orange hue is quite wrong, I tried to make it more vivid, also made shading layer quite darker. What do you think?

It looks better. I'll admit, I'm not exactly happy with my choice of colors. And I do think there is something with the alpha that is brightening the car up. I'll bring some improvements on the next release, with the rest of the Long Beach and COTA cars (most of them anyway).

Hope we can do the open server idea I had earlier for SCE now that we'll move to AMS (if Daniel make online and offline mode separated from each other), would be fun to be able to take some 10 minutes races during the week with the guys here in the forum and outsiders too.
