EEC News is live!

Hey everyone! A small project to the forum: a news site!
It will have news from our leagues and the main sims in the market (except iRacing). So add it to your favourites [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thinking about posting news from the friends leagues as long as they race on different days/cars/platform. E.g. URL GT1 league, if they are interested

Some moderators will be needed in near future

Who came up with the idea for the new site ? Though I find a Twitter presentation of our forum usefull, I don´t think the news site is something this forum needs. There are so many other sites out there to deliver such news and adding more to that pile is pretty useless in my opinion.

Twitter alone can't do much (it really can't). The goal is the sim news to keep it more relevant and have more things to post about. As said it will have news mixed with our league reports. Plus some times the sim news site takes way too long to post stuff and other times they write too much stuff, this won't happen here, it's more short versions.
The idea is mine. And it's not really much work, the host site has a built in program you just have to drag and drop a Text box that has options like here in the forum so it's pretty easy
We need to make accessing the forum easier tho (at least racing with us should be), like adding Facebook/Twitter login buttons here, it makes a lot easier to create accounts, and then drop the 10 question presentation part (to the online racing only).
In the worst scenario nothing will happen, no big deal. If it's useless or not only time will tell.

Awesome news guys!!! I think this can really contribute to the growth of the site and the leagues, and I really hope it has a nice effect! Although I'm not a driver (due to available time) I'm really glad to see the GT Sprint league expand week by week, and it's always nice to have new members around! And of course awesome we can keep up with all the Sim Racing news in one place
