1 - MoTeC
Installing Motec
To install MoTeC, you will need:
1. Data Acquisition Plugin (download)
2. MoTeC 1.0.1.082 (download)
3. Projects (download)
Instalation:
1. Install MoTeC in any folder on your computer, preferably in C:\Program Files, which is the default installation folder.
2. Copy and paste the Data Acquisition Plugin folder in GSCEx.
3. Create a folder called MoTeC in X:\Stock Car Extreme\UserData\LOG
4. Access your *.plr file and make the following changes:
Data Acquisition Version = "0"
Data Acquisition Rate = "8"
Data Acquisition In Race = "1"
Data Acquisition EXE = "C:\Program Files\MoTeC\i2\1.0\MoTeC.exe" (Or whatever folder you installed Motec)
Data Acquisition File = "X:\Stock Car Extreme\UserData\LOG\MoTeC" (Motec folder you created in GSCEx)
Pay attention to the folders you are adding there, if you are installing it somewhere else just point it correctly
5. Next, open DataAcquisitionPlugin.ini in the root folder of GSCEx and make the following changes:
Logging Active On Startup = 1
Wait For Vehicle To Move = 1
Sample Rate = 1
Write CSV File = 0
Write LD File = 1
Write LDX File = 1
Write File Debug = 0
Log File Output Path = "X:\Stock Car Extreme\UserData\LOG\MoTeC"
This part is optional
Logging Activated Sound="X:\Stock Car Extreme\Plugins\rFactor Data Acquisition Plugin\Sounds\LoggerOn.wav"
Logging Deactivated Sound="X:\Stock Car Extreme\Plugins\rFactor Data Acquisition Plugin\Sounds\LoggerOff.wav"
6. Save and close the DataAcquisitionPlugin.ini.
Now, every time you leave the pit lane, a female voice will speak "Data Acquisition is enable." This is the sign that the game will generate the data to be read back in MoTeC.
7. Just open the files that will be in LOG/MoTeC with MoTeC to use your data. There are different projects so obviously don't use a GP2 project to check a GT3 car
Original post, projects and all credits for this go to 3wideclub http://3wideclub.com/portal/tutoriais/item/152-instalando-motec-telemetria-no-rfactor.html
I only translated the instructions and menus in the projects.
2 - F1 Telemetry
Download
Update
How to use:
1 - Start the setup
2 - Install in the GSC folder
3 - Copy and paste the update to the Telemetry folder that will be created in your GSC
4 - Modify your plr settings as follow:
Data Acquisition Version="1" // Version of vehicle data to write out
Data Acquisition Rate="8"
Data Acquisition In Race="1"
Data Acquisition EXE="f1_telemetry.exe"
Data Acquisition File="Telemetry\vehicledata.spt"
5 - To check if it's working do some laps and when you go back to pits or exit the game go to GSC\Telemetry and click on f1_telemetry
6 - You can load different sessions so you compare your laps with others you did with setup changes, etc. As this example (here it is zoomed out so I can see the numbers)
If you already use MoTeC will be easier for you to understand this one, still plenty of stuff to look at and adjust and I like it more than Motec.
Already managed to get a second faster with a car I was not getting right on the setup.

Re: Telemetry tools
Thank you for sharing this info! The sample rate in 1 seems to low to get good telemetry read.. besides the size of the file is there any disadvantage in using bigger sample rates?

Re: Telemetry tools
Didn't try other values but I think GTR2 uses it on 10 (in the plr file tho)
Once league starts I'll try using it more serious.
Btw not a single comment on what happened? You didn't say if you still plan to race with us. You know the GSC drivers group was open for people that really wanted to race here. You were removed from it and din't say anything
