Since this mod (I think) uses the GT-IMT R18 physics it will be impossible to create a setup that will eliminate these problems... Yes, the GT-IMT physics are that bad. Razz I drove the old R18 a lot last year and had the same problems.

@PATR10T: Thanks for the explanation, I always thought AI could cope with certain things us humans can't, lol. In GTL for example the standard setup has too much rear brakes for some cars and a human finds it very unstable while the AI does just fine. Guess I was wrong, though.

I did some testing and tweaking for myself with the gtr24h/DGTL VEC LMP HY cars after the VEC season was cancelled and the hybrid system was not longer availbale. I'm really new to this tweaking, and its far from finished yet. But compared to what i saw in FP1 today from Le Mans i got closer.

I don't drive offline anyway. But considering all 3 cars in this pack are factory cars wouldn't be bad to have the correct physics for only these 3, the other protos are LMP-L anyway so the crazy GRID physics could simulate the differences. Just explained what they used. If the AI could drive our online physics would be cool but as Daniel said it was a lot of work to make them for humans and only about 30 cars, I'll never forget the amount of laps to test them. That was boring  lol!

Doing proper LMP physics on a high level, like we're having in our online league right now, is an extreme challenge. The major problem is, that the AI doesn't get the physics calculate as accurate as it is done for humans. If you would put it on the same level, with just 10 cars you would only get 10 FPS anymore because CPU can't handle it. So now imagine, as somebody said above, the AI is fine with a lot of rear brakes while you have trouble. In this case, it is the other way round. While you are fine, the AI is in trouble. But therefor, the probably biggest issue is that GTR2 can't handle such big class differences between GT and LMP not at all. You can do whatever you want, there is no chance to avoid the prototypes crashing out the GT Cars. Finally that's the point where I said myself, that it is senseless to buildup such a physics pack for offline usage. It takes all fun away from an endurance race. The biggest differences I've seen so far that can be handled by the AI is between GT3 Cars and TC Cars at 320 HP.
But finally, if you want to have some nice experience with good physics for LMP1 Cars, join the upcoming EEC LMS League. We might not have Hybrid Power, but we have proper prototype physics and will get proper GTE physics.
As finally as WIll says, the amount of testing is horrible. Already the testing for human drivers and in the end the amount of testing for AI. You get mad after a while and you get pretty tired and finally you start to lose the interest in finishing this stuff, because it is like a neverending story.

And regarding the Hybrid Plugin: I've tried it for myself and it doesn't work for us. There is an administration part of the program and a client part. The Client Part everyone is able to get, but the administration part you will only get if gtr24h.dk is sending it to you so you could use it. I'd love to see it released for public, would be a nice addition, but I don't really believe that it ever will happen.

I think it's a problem of gMotor itself not necessarily the game. The gMotor engine is a development of an F1-oriented engine after all (from F1 Challenge). It was likely never considered that we would try to make prototypes run with GT cars with a very large difference in performance.

Even in games with important AI racing we see it's not so easy. In GRID, for example, the AI protos sometimes had a hard time passing me in a GT on Mulsanne, and GRID's protos are very fast (Audi R10 can hit 400 kph). However, GRID's races aren't long enough to witness fast cars having to lap slower cars, so the ability of overtaking backmarkers probably wasn't considered during development.

But it's a difference if the AI is just blind and not even slowing down in corners to avoid a crash or if the AI is struggling to go by clean. Of course it's the Game Engine. The AI of this game engine is a very static AI. There is a racing path, this one they are following. And then there is a line beside as long the corridors are not right there. And if there isn't even a side where the AI can't go by (like in an S-Turn), then they just drive like there isn't any other car although is another car. So the AI in this game engine is pretty much restricted, at least in GTR2, where the game engine has gotten a lot more unnecessary restrictions. Probably in rfactor it would work much better. Just look at GSC to see what is possible with this engine, but nobody of us can reprogram it.

But that's not the question. In the end the question is, how much sense it does and imo it requires too much effort to make the physics working offline well in a way, the AI can handle more classes. Also look at the original GTR2 physics. Overall they work offline not bad, but compare it with the Reborn Mod. There they were able to balance both classes to a level to allow perfect offline racing. But both are GT Cars, here we're talking about LMP and GT, which is something completely different. In the end you would necessarily need to leave a close-to-real level to get it working.

So as said: I recommend everyone to join us in LMS League, which shouldn't be far away from being started anymore. Maybe not 24 hour races, but still some hopefully proper Multi-Class-Racing Wink If you want to get the experience of braking right before the 100 meter board towards first chicane at Le Mans, then you're at the right place in this league Wink

Where do I sign up for the LMS league? I've been playing alot of iRacing lately and I want to start online racing in GTR2.

LMS League is not yet ready for signing up. A few GTE physics still need to be done, but it's not that much work anymore, so it should be ready quite soon. As soon everything is ready, the registration will be opened up. I guess we start with a testing weekend then. Best is to check the league section and to keep an eye on that. But you may want to start in the other leagues too, so check it out Wink

the reason is the gmt-physik.
i use toyota physik from toyota ts030 and i had raise the car in the physik --> RideHeightRange=(0.045, 0.005, Cool ...and it looks good Smile

You need to adjust the values in graphical offset line on the .hdc file. Lower or up to set the best position.

How healed. Reports.

- (Referred to as original this) to back up the "Toyota_TS040Hybrid_TEX.gtr"
- (Referred to as this copy) to open in the GEditor "Toyota_TS040Hybrid_TEX.gtr"
- Removed "TOYOTA_TS040HYBRID_BODY1_SPECULAR.DDS"
- Add it rename the "TOYOTA_TS040HYBRID_BODY1_SPECULAR.DDS" and "TOYOTA_TS040HYBRID_BODY1.DDS"
- Save Once you start the game with a copy
- I quit the game, delete the copy, and start the game in the presence of original

The above procedure, your own skin will display normally, it is ready to reflection also remains of skin TOYOTA RACING some original.
This way I wonder if the right way?
