rF2 DX11 update

Did anyone try it yet? When it works seem to be very nice

There are many people getting fps issues, seems to be mostly AMD cards. I couldn't get it to run well for now yet so waiting for fixes for now

Running like crap. Big FPS hit.  Beta or no beta they shouldnt have released it running like this on AMD.
Didnt they test it on AMD? And if they did test it on AMD, does it mean its suppose to run like that?

The least they could have done is to inform people that there is a problem with AMD cards, instead of AMD guys
went to all the trouble reinstalling the game. They fucking rather keep quiet.

Someone in Discord said while in closed beta his RX460 was working perfectly, 60+ fps with full grid and PP ON. But an update after that messed up everything and this same build went to the public one. Looks like something that can be reversed or fixed rather quickly if it's the case, he informed the devs already

It is looking very nice, hope they can fix it soon so I can use it

Same here, I'm running on AMD and the game is very inconsistant in terms of FPS, I can get 60 but I have to lower my settings Reply takes a massive fps hit.

Ran just a small test with my Nvidia 10series, 120-140FPS on absolute max out details in an Alpine 450b.

My rF2 install however is mostly vanilla, except for the Enduracers pack, I lack heavy tracks to load.

Didnt even try this When they'll fix the things i'll give it a go.

Tried it today and it works fantastic for me, but i have a nvidia so, dont know.
Looks really better and for me it even runs smoother with a big field compared to dx9

Tested with Nvidia gc and it works properly. The game looks really good but still a RFactor game...

What do you mean by that ? Yeah, the content quality from ISI is all over the place, but I hope that with these changes we gonna start to get more good mods.

Things will change regarding content and quality of content, don't worry, they are investing heavy on it

All in all S397 is making great progress and future plans also sound good. Maybe one day we gonna switch to rF2 for online racing

If depended on me we'd switch right after GTA
I don't see much sense in staying in AMS. But let's wait a few more months for them to fix the issues and show more plans and some Steam sales, that could help to get more of our members to buy it.

If you mean it still looks a bit dull and in general the UI is not as confortable or appealing as it could be then yes I agree.

Also rF2 and modding, it's supposed to be easy, but AC, AMS and GTR2 make it so much easier to do, I still don't know why some cars turn up and others don't and in general there's really not a ton of content when it comes to real series. Could be I'm looking in the wrong places, but I have yet to find something that resembles Blancpain, WEC...

On a sidenote, seems enduracers their site got hacked.

There was a small update to public and beta versions today, and it also made switching between DX9 and 11 builds faster (900mb download now instead of 3gb). Didn't test yet, some people are reporting improvements

I experience some improvement, more fps during night racing

Huge improvement now, game was almost impossible to play now it's almost as good as the DX9 version. They are improving really fast

Had another update an hour or so ago, they mean it with dx11 support

Made some deeper tests and could find out they are still far from the DX9 performance, still long way to go, at least the game is playable in DX11 for now. But I'm not much satisfied witht he looks, on my PC at least both versions look way too close to cost this much fps, on med to high end PCs it does look good tho. Gotta wait and see where it goes

Nah, there was a post they said they'd release any small update they have to keep the beta improving faster instead of release one update at once

Nice pic of the Bentley (car from the official GT3 pack) today, look the water on the windsscreen. Wonder if they finally improved the rain, reflections are looking much better too

I have the rf2, but I did not know how to install the dx11, they told me to download the beta, but in steam only appears the beta of the game, is the same beta where you can test the dx11?

Right click on rF2 -> click Properties -> Betas -> select v1108 open beta
