Are you still having this problem and if so which templates?

Yes Simon, actually 90% of the template files are crashing here, i re-downloaded several times and the issue continues... don't know why.

Hmm, I'm not sure what it could be, I also used photoshop cs6. I will have a look and see if its something obvious.

Re: Supertouring version 6.4 Updated 06.04.16
now with Opel Astra in-game an SATCC 1994 pack could be done, those Astra were works cars and very competitive !!! and Mike Briggs nearly won the title, they lost it because of rules issues which allowed the BMW to have rear wing later the season
up until season half cars didn't have rear wings, not even the BMW
BMW livery is same as the already done 95 ones, same with Nissans
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
list would
- 1 Opel Astra GSI Michael Briggs (Works)
- 2 Opel Astra GSI Grant McCleery (Works)
- 3 BMW 318 iS Shaun van der Linde (Works)
- 4 BMW 318 iS Deon Joubert (Works)
- 12 BMW 318 i Marco dos Santos (Privateer)
- 14 BMW 318 i Anthony Taylor (Privateer)
- 6 Toyota Camry Serge Damseaux (Works)
- 11 Toyota Camry Mike White (Works)
- 7 Nissan Sentra Hannes Grobler (Works)
- 28 Nissan Sentra Duncan Vos (Works)
- 8 VW Jetta GT - Terry Moss - VW Dealer Team (I assume works)
- 9 VW Jetta GT - Chris Aberdein - same as above
- 10 Vauxhall Cavalier GSi - Farouk Dangor - priavateer, this was an ex BTCC car

I am considering making this skinpack for Race 07 once Satoris models get converted but if anyone else wants to start it feel free.

Other option
the 96 and final SATCC season would be easier as no issues with rear wing
list to do is quite short

2 Grant McCleery - Opel Vectra B (Works) same livery as 96 BTCC
15 Shaun Watson-Smith - Opel Vectra A (works, same livery as the 95 ones)
3 Shaun van der Linde - BMW 318iS (works, same livery as 95)
4 Craig Baird - BMW 318iS (works, same livery as 95)
5 Deon Joubert - BMW 318iS works,
14/ 17 Mark de Nobrega - Peter Southwood - Sarel van der Merwe - Barry Ingle
BMW 318iS , privateer BMW shared by 4 drivers during season
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
6 Duncan Vos - Nissan Sentra (Works) same livery as 95
7 Giniel de Villiers - Nissan Sentra (Works) same livery as 95

10 Julian Bailey - Toyota Camry (Works)
11 Anthony Taylor - Toyota Camry,(Works) the Castrol livery from 95

Re: Supertouring version 6.4 Updated 06.04.16
in fact the astra was specifically made for the french and south african series, and i think i even included a skin or two from 1993-1994 seasons. i wonder why '93 is not on supertouringregister, the cars were more or less the same as in '94...

Already had this similar mod on rFactor but i've been having a ball with this on GTR2 so much fun!!!
Also because of all the awesome ASTC cars does anyone know if the Oran Park LiDAR version ever got converted to GTR2? Just an odd question.

any idea if NATCC 97 is still WIP ?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
in the mod we already have the 2 Dodge and 2 Mazda Xedos 6, from available pics we could add 3 BMW , 1 Toyota, 1 Ford Mondeo and 4 Honda Accord
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
total would 13 entries which is more what NATCC race was usually at

Regarding the NATCC series:I will be working on the 1996 one.I have already done two mondeos. For the 1997 season RemusRacing has made these skins and from what i know is converting the rest of the cars(he originally painted them for the old supertouring 3,6 for Race 07)

Re: Supertouring version 6.4 Updated 06.04.16
with Mondeos I assume you mean no 5 and no 27, both cars shared by multiple drivers during season
some good reference material here , including the Mercedes 190 !!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
no 10, the private E36 you see it at 14.14
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
to cut back on some work
the no 42 Honda Accord , it's the same car driven by Armin Hahne in STW 1995, they didn't bother to repaint, so you only need to take that skin and edit it
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
no 18 BMW E36 is an ex 95 italian works car, they didn't bother to repaint it either
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
the no 25 Vauxhall Cavalier of Nigel Smith, it's same car he drove in BTCC 1995, same base livery with some logos removed / changed
BTCC 95

NATCC 96
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
2 entries you can scratch from list, no 81 Pontiac Sunfire and 86 Ford Countour as no 3D model , no 86 failed to start any race ....

Re: Supertouring version 6.4 Updated 06.04.16
Glad to help, Procar had some very colorful skins so looking forward to them
Regarding NATCC 96 watch out for the Dodge, they switched liveries mid-season I personally prefer the late season liveries
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
the early season dull white ones are looking bland and boring, so I sugegst to do the later ones
also see here, there is a shot of the back of that MErcedes 190 , remember it only did the first event only...

Re: Supertouring version 6.4 Updated 06.04.16
I will be doing the second livery on the stratus.I prefer it to the early season one.
For the procar here is what's been done:
The 1993 season only included 5-6 supertourers so it hasn't been done
The 1994 season has been done by me
The 1995 season has been done by me(I only have the 2 peugeot 405s to finish)
The 1996 season has been done by me
Finally The 1997 season has been done by RemusRacing
Also i'm working on the 1995 spa 24hours

You could use the Mondeo for the Contour, they're more or less the same car.intelpower wrote:

Re: Supertouring version 6.4 Updated 06.04.16
the Countour didn't even start a single race so no worth to bother about
missing from NATCC 96 would be
- no 20 BMW Jim Kenzie, he only did Toronto event , first race DNF, 2nd race DNS, so essentially he started just one race
and hurray a pic of that no 9 Honda !!!

@ Markano97
watch out , you need to remove the exaust smoke from the CAR files on the E36, Audi 80 and Alfa 155 from your skinpacks

Am I the only one finding these cars undrivable on the hard tyres? I literally, just did a race and I was wearing the standard Soft's out way too quickly. So I swapped for the hards, and I lasted about 5 corners before the car swapped ends and sent me toward the wall. Track is Donington GP btw. Are the hard tyres supposed to have next to no grip?

Not sure, the FWD soft tyres use a different section of the tyr file for less grip and are closer to wtcc mod tyres, you should get wheel spin off the start for example. The other compounds use slip and braking curves from a default gtr2 tyre and to me have too much grip. I did very little testing with the harder compounds and only included them for those who preferred the gripper cars from version 3 rather than the original handling from previous versions.
The RWD just uses a slightly modified default tyre for all compounds. This wasn't ideal but the tyres I use for other touring cars didn't work well with super tourers, the car would just lose grip, start over steering and be un catchable.
I have some good touring car physics for some cars that isn't suitable for these as they are so low and the wheels kept protruding through the body under braking and over bumps.

Try these out. Mostly edited lines from the old F1C mod's tires, but worked relatively well for me. Only slicks, inters and wets though. I've been using them for a while now and I think I've managed to balance them out in terms of speed.
