Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
That's a very nice model, good find. Would be great to see that car in GTR2 but i'm sure it will at some stage, especially if it keeps on winning.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
Somebody is making it for rFactor adding stuffs and improving it.
wip at f1classic
It's better to wait for it, then hope for a Forza Pcars or shift model to convert.
Even if the ideal is a mr Aless version. That guy is better than official games!

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
Thats why alless will work for licensed models in the future and most likely will quit modding for free :rendeer:

Sorry but Alless is not the best modder, his R18 is really unreal, he sell his 3d just to get money, lot of guys are better than him.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
I completely disagree with you, and if he makes money with his talent, compliments to him!
BTW by now he gave his models for free to GTR2 community
Then I'd like to see some names, wsgt mod? SCC? Ron123? not bad, never aless's quality.
In the case of R18 I fear you confused with pcars model that for not paying copyrights they made the R18 different enought from the real model, the same for enduracers,
even the 2dskins are weird, you will notice they didn't use real banners and sponsors too.
Then only few endu models are top quality, someone for example, 430, lambo, flm, 996.. just sucks

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
SCC, Ron123 are not bad ok, but Virtua-LM is just one step higher than alless.
You do'nt have to fear for me^^, You know i saw the R18 this year in any angle at Le Mans in 2011,2012, ion tyhe pit lane, during the all week and the pre-test days. And i can say to you that his R18 is sucks^^, on it i'm right for sure, the CARs one is better, they made, with Turn10 the 2 best R18 existed for the moment.
His R18 is just too unreal, all the front part is wrong, lot of things too.
Excuse me but the 2d work of Enduracers is great, i don't mean the GTR2 conversion, but the real mod, the rFactor mod. They didn't used sponsors and Le mans plate because of the ACO.
You consider Alless as a god but it's not a god, it's not the best 3d modeler.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
primitting that in my opinion only a guy with better 3d modeling skills than alless should heavily judge/criticize his works, i think that the r18 of aless is a really good model! i've tried all the other r18 models available and i think that are all good, someone better in some details and some other worse for some other, but none is noticeably better than others! then in my opinion your argument is wrong in 2 points:
1. you said that you saw the LM2011 and LM2012 r18 cars with your very eyes, and you noticed the differences! well, as far i know, aless worked on his r18 model taking as reference the early 2011 version of the car! is clear that because of this, his car hasn't the late updates of 2011 and the 2012 bodyworks! (until now, none r18 model has the 2012 bodykit BTW)
2. you said that forza 4 and cars models are the best models available! well.... is even useless to say that a videogames development company has more tools and 3d specialists that working togheter can do a better 3d model than the one done by a single skilled guy!
hopefully we are not in china or russia, so freedom of opinions is still an our right (with all due respect). Personally i think that we all should appreciate the works of a skilled guy like alless! hoping to play with a toyota ts030 of him in next future.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
After driving the alless' R18 with the late 2011 bodywork, it is by far the best model and I don't think you can get much better. For a single person to be able to make such realistic models is amazing such as the R15, R15 plus and R18. Best of all he is a very friendly guy too, after talking with him about projects. Like Alex said, a TS030 by him would be fantastic. All we need after that is some decent sounds.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
I have to agree with alexkiller. Well, I'm someone who doesn't see all the small tiny little details and changes on these cars and so for me it isn't super important if a model is 100% perfect. For me and I think for most other drivers, it is important that it looks nice and that it has the most obvious details.
He released several cars for GTR2 that have a really great quality and that are really detailed. Mostly he started just after a model was shown the first time when it came out, so it surely has an older state than the ones from the commercial developers. Therefor he has to work with pictures and those you have to get first. IMO he is one of the best 3d modellers out there in the modding community, although there might be even better models out there from a commercial developer.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
I'm sorry to disagree with you. But for me details are important too, i don't really want to a pseudo-R18 with wrong shape or whatelse.
It's not because he released lot of good car that i do'nt have the right to critic his work on the R18, personnaly i will not throw him flowers for each work he done simply because he release cars. I don't critic only alless, but when i see a bad model i say it, i'm a honest guy, not a ball-sucker.
It's my opinion, if we can't critic him, it's the death of freedom of speech.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
Of course, for some people - like you - those details are important. And that's ok. It's ok too to criticise his work, but you have to keep in mind that he can't use things like laserscans and all that stuff to create a perfect model. In that case those models are top.

Re: Toyota TS030 3d Model
lack of details? in Aless's Audi? I think he's confusing aless model with that R18 of that french site, what he's name, blablapif if I remember, they are at the very first modding experiences so it's just a kind of R18..
Then what a deduction, to conclude that forza shift models made by teams who spend thousand and thousand of euros to get 3d models are better than a single guy in his room, (in his free time I suppose...)
Actually the surprising is just the contrary, sometimes the guy reach the level of the companies, infact as you say, someone is paying him for his skills
Then yes, there are many 3d modders very good enduracers are one of them, but not as aless level, simply as that.
Regarding virtuaLM cars, I don't know cause I never had F1 challenge, tracks are great,
no doubt, especially I like sebring because of the modern layout

Giaserg: I know the blabla model^^, and i know that i'm not confused with alless r18^^.
Anyway, we don't have the same opinion^^, so i prupose to come back on orignal subject^^. No offense for sure, it was a living discussion.
When the base 3d is not really good, even the best modder can't do miracle, expect of totally redone it.

Off Topic: Exist an Alles/FM4 R18 for GTR2?? Where??
I think Alless is a great modeler, even you can't compare scanned model and a 'hand made' car.
