Hi everybody
Hi everybody,
My name is Hermilio Maia, a mechanical engineer by trade, married, four boys. I was born in Brazil, but have lived in the US for 23 years.
I got started in sim racing about three years ago, with Rfactor. After I discovered GTR2, I seldom go back into Rfactor, except for Formula BMW. I have only raced against AI, not online. I love the Radical, especially the SR9. Due to time constraints, I have not spent a lot of time honing my skills: I now teach at a community college, after retiring from engineering.
I use a G25, and I will eventually build a cockpit. I would like to incorporate motion to it, not as much for immersion, but for the technical challenge involved in building it. Once a tinkerer...
I love endurance racing, have followed it since I was a teenager. I used to love Formula 1, but after Senna's death, my interest got diminished, I still watch it on TV. The technology of F1 still fascinates me.
One of my hobbies is to build Pocher models. I am currently working on a 1934 Mercedes true roadster.

Hello and welcome Hermilio!
Pocher models are very beautiful, too bad they cost a fortune
Feel free to post pictures of your models, I am looking forward to seeing some 1/8 scale cars

Re: Hi everybody
first of all, welcome here, i hope'll you enjoy your being here
those models sounds promising, could you please upload some pictures?
since you've updated your signature, now you will be able to check our full page.
i would suggest to check our online races, we have 2 races per week, one for Thursday and one for Sunday. We are riding with a big variety of mods...for example we have driven Group A touring cars and GT1 beasts as well....right now the following races will be with new GT3 cars, Renault Mégane Trophies and old GT cars from the 90s even if you are not that fast, it's a good experiment i think, it's quite a friendly community
