Re: DTM Experience DEMO
If RaceRoom is anything to go by, it will sound incredible, look pretty but the driving itself will leave something to desired. The cars in RaceRoom just seemed so dead compared to a lot of the newer mods and sims coming out.

I did a little search on Google and this result came up: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]DaBlub wrote:i cant start the game. i have win xp...

I don't know if it will help or not, but it's the only thing that comes close to a solution to RaceRoom. Given it's the same engine, I thought it was worth posting. Other threads suggest that RaceRoom doesn't support Windows XP, but other people say it works. :/

Re: DTM Experience DEMO
I haven't tried RRRE. My first impression on this DTM Experience. The car models are very good, as are the graphics. Just the physics, they are a bit wierd.

Re: DTM Experience DEMO
u need to spend some time on the options for steering wheel and ffb to find a good setting... on the first laps the car drives like on ice but when u have heat on tires the physic is really nice, dont know about the physic on these dtm cars but on rrre it was this and what i have seen on 3 laps in a audi it feels so too ^^

Re: DTM Experience DEMO
GTR3 when teams are sponsored by Playstation, Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport will never happen unfortunately.
Which is why I wish Simbin just gave us the cars and we could work our magic from there. But Ferrari license is expensive...

Re: DTM Experience DEMO
Being a sucker for Racing games and seeing as the Summer Sale is on I went ahead and got this for 50% off.
Mini Review:
Graphics are nice. The Cars and tracks look pretty good for the most part . The menus are straight from RRE if you've tried that.
Haven' tried "Get Real" driving mode but I found the driving exceedingly easy on "Amateur" and could beat the AI easily.
The difficulty of the game is based on the driving mode you choose and you can't increase/decrease AI strength as such.
On the downside, there's no damage model at all on these cars and the crash physics leave something to be desired.
I can't say I watch DTM all all, but the racing seemed rather Nascar like, meaning the cars just seem to drive around in a big pack the whole race.
I can't say the game isn't fun, but don't expect a top notch sim.
I would say only get this if you like DTM and get it on sale. It's not worth the full price.
On the plus side if you have RRE installed you won't have to download anything.
On a side note if you have a RRE account you might have received some free vRP which you can buy some content with.
I got a whopping 300 vRP so I got the Camaro GT3 and Koenigsegg so I can say I bought some RRE content!!
Still don't like RRE's model though, a free to play game where you can't earn the games currency in game??????
