Supertouring version 6.4 Updated 06.04.16

I just want to post a message to say thank you very much for all your hard work on this guys. Really appreciate what has been done!

This looks like an excellent mod. Thanks for everyone's efforts for this. Super Touring was a great series back in the day.

A couple of things. I've lost track of the updates so I don't know if the skins will work, BruceD released some carsets for the South African series on F1C (Search through the old rF conversion topic):

And an incomplete set for the 1997 American series was released aswell:

Also, would it be possible to convert all this work you've done so far to rF (And future updates aswell)? Evo_Monkey did a tremendous job with his old conversion, but it all went to dust and we rF players could use an updated version of the mod instead of the old one..

If someone wants to convert they can. The car sets won't work but a lot of the old skins are being remade by a guy at Racedepartment.

The release of V.40 has finally inspired me to finish off the remaining skins for the 1998 STW Cup skinset.

Requires SuperTouring Mod v4.0 by simspeed_racing

This skinpack features the complete cars of the 1998 ADAC Supertourenwagen Meisterschaft (STW) season.  Some cars/drivers also have helmets and driver suits included.

BMW and Alfa skins are the work of baika (Krisztián Tóth), originally for RACE07 and converted for GTR2.  Several helmets and driver suits have also been used from biaka's RACE07 mods.  The Irmscher Opel is based off a previous season's skin, with the PSD kindly provided by simspeed_racing.

All other skins by SpeedDemon79.

Adjusted hdc and eng files for all cars - no original mod files will be overwritten.

Sorted now - realised I had an issue with the BMWs as I hadn't updated the car files to the v4.0 cockpit. Hands were misplaced (behind the wheel!!). All fixed and the link added back in now.

I would like to say a massive thank you to everybody involved in the making if this mod. Raced the BTCC '97 cars this evening. What can I say? The sounds are awesome, the physics are good, and the AI actually fight you with this mod. Sorry John Cleland, you are not going for first while my yellow/blue Laguna is dominating.

Complements to the developers of this mod. The AI are great. Currently doing the 1994 championship and the cars are unstable. Drove a 1997 car as well and the aero developments shows that there was more stability in the car. This is very reflective of the actual development of the cars. Very good mod. I was confused that when racing at Donnington, the race went to a 3 hour race rather then a sprint race. Not sure how to fix this. Apologies if this has been covered before.

Set the race to use laps for the distance, Laurence. I did Donnington with the '97 cars. But originally for a timed race, 3 hours is far too long for these cars. The races should be about 30 minutes for sprints and about 50 for feature races, if you're using time. But if you want laps, check out some old touring car results of the race you're about to do, and set the laps to be the same as those in the results. Eg: Donnington '97 had 2 races with 18 laps each.

There is a clash with the Super Touring Donington and the original game version, if you remove the original from the GTR2 folder temporarily whilst you run the championship it should fix it short term, I am looking at a better solution to fix.

Some vary where races were red flagged or laps added for safety cars.

Vectra folder is in volvo st main folder,problem solved(i think)

Ah, must be a copying across error then as it's definitely in the Vauxhall folder in the rar file!

Mind you, you've got me thinking now - would that be a Vauxvo or a Volvhall?

What kind of problem..? AI Vectras or player Vectra..?
