BMW Z4 small issue
Hi all, I like very much this mod and specially the Z4s and Corvettes. I've tried in the past to solve some little issues, as the feet driver position in Z4 (it was easy to fix editing the .car file...)
Now I'm struggling with hands and wheel: the Z4 GTD is perfect, but the Z4 GTE isn't so good (see pictures). I think there is something to fix with pivot or axes, but I'm not good at all with 3Dsimed
Is there a way to fix it?
Thanks,
NickM

Re: GRID Mod 6.0 / 5.X and GRID GT
I don't see some cars in the model showroom, the GtE and GTA classes for being precise, are they still not added or is it me having a problem?
For now I solved with the Car Manager tool

I had the same issue and I solved updating the .gdb file. Maybe this can solve also for you.

Re: GRID Mod 6.0 / 5.X and GRID GT
Ok i have another problem:
I made a clean install of GTR2 with only the grid mod, I installed in this order: Grid Mod 5, 5 patch 1, 6, some addons, sounds
Somehow in the class it says I have the grid mod 5.0 and it doesn't show all cars. How do I fix it?

Re: GRID Mod 6.0 / 5.X and GRID GT
You might want to check if the Classes line in the .car files are referring to an existing class in the gdb file

Wheel position
Is it possible to move the wheel (up/down) in order to have a correct match with driver's hands?
See example of Z4 GTE...

That is a great mod.
I have just one problem. I can´t see the Porsche and Ferrari GT-Cars.
Problem solved. Just installed patch 1.1.0.0.

I would go with moving driver rather than wheelNickM wrote:Is it possible to move the wheel (up/down) in order to have a correct match with driver's hands?
See example of Z4 GTE...
Open car file and you will see line FirstPersonDriverPosition, you can edit it. First number is left/right second is up/down and third forward/backward...
You can also try to change SteeringWheelType...

I will try, this could be a fix even if I think that the wheel's position and pivot isn't correct (this is more visible when you turn the wheel of the GTE version, it doesn't respect its own center while rotating - GTD otherwise is perfect).
I will let you know if this trick fixes the "issue".

Re: GRID Mod 6.0 / 5.X and GRID GT
If that's the case then you will have to open the steering wheel gmt with 3dsimed and set a new pivot point...

Re: GRID Mod 6.0 / 5.X and GRID GT
Just position cursor in the center of the wheel and remember the coordinates of that spot than on edit tab click center model, set pivot point and enter the coordinates...

Ok, I've fixed the issue moving up the driver's position. No need to open .gmt file. Thanks!

Re: GRID Mod 6.0 / 5.X and GRID GT
Thank you for this GRID mod! By the way, will the Porsche 991 RSR car height be fixed in the next update?

The GRID mod is not made by this forum, but by the forum which led to the making of this forum
