Ram problem..(Question)

I have 8 gb ram..but why in task manager I have the 42% usage if my PC use not even 2 gb of ram??

Windows uses RAM also. Even if you don't have any program running there will be a percentage of RAM used all the time ( it's between 1 and 2 gb on my system )...

usualy windows counts in ram used to buffer disc IO.
so the 42% might be the whole amount of used ram, not only for applications.
