hi guys,

i am havin g problems with the Audi R8Ultra template. There is only one layer in my photoshop and the shaddign, wireframe and si on is all in one layer ;/ can anyone help me with that?

Hi Seble18

I had the same issue. If you open the .psd in paint.net, you can save it in that format and then it will open up as multiple layers. As I prefer to use GIMP for skin painting this makes life a lot easier!

okay guys again im sorry i havent raced online that much nor said thank you to the EPIC people who make the awesome skins and cars

work is really taking over my life but thats what ya get for running a 23k car and going on a ski holiday haha

but this is epic!

and can someone put up a list of what skins i can drag over from the old mod to the new one!

i.e Britsh GT Z4M GT3? can i bring them over from the PCARS version? and if so how do i edit the files so it all works?

i did get the trackspeed 911 #12 it works fine just no lights :/

once again sorry for my lack of activaty Crying or Very sad

For the PCars cars, you can use the skins of the Z4 and the Ginetta. You jsut need to change the genstring. Also, the problems with the lights, you can solve it by changing the manufacturer and then renaming the DDS files.

Here the update for the Mclaren Mp4-12 by me, also added at the first Page. Unzip the content into your XX:\GTR2\GameData\Teams\EEC GT3 directory and let the MCLaren GT Folder overwrite. It contains only the updated files.

Attention to all painters: Updated templates are included.

*updates 3.1 by Basukid 17/02/15:
-replaced rim-textures (darkgrey)
-fixed carbon mapping for mainparts of the car (the scale was to big for most parts)
-updated specmap for 2013 hood
-additonal 2012 Hexis GT1 specmap
-rearranged files to use different specmaps for all parts (Chassis, Bumpers) via genstring
-updated templates for 2013 hoodpart with wireframe + rescaled frontsplitter Body2-Template+ generall Texture

Looking forward to trying the new update!

For Valentin, that is probably for the pneumatic jack on the real car. In order to take it off in game, you would have to 3d edit it out.

The shading of the hood for the wider 2013 hood airouttakes was fixed, so it's all flat base now without the rendered shadow of the old 2011 version. You need the new shading layer from my template. And if you need to paint on the frontsplitter you need to use my updated version of the Body2-Template aswell. Hope it makes sense. geek

By the way. More updates will follow for the other cars. If there are suggestions what needs to be changed and fixed, please report it here.

Ferrari 458 GT3 Basemod Update 3.1 by Basukid.
Unzip the content into your XX:\GTR2\GameData\Teams\EEC GT3 directory and let the Ferrari F458 Italia Folder overwrite. It contains only the updated files.

Attention to all painters: Updated templates are included.

-Updated the materialspecs for the silver and black rims
-Added the gold rim as genstring-option 5 for the rims
-Fixed the Body1-Template for the Carbon Parts. The scale of the carbon patterns was to big and I rescaled them. Painters need to be aware of the Carbonparts-Layer to update their skins.
-Added the missing Body2-Template which was provided as Cpit01-Template. The Cpit-Template is obsolete now. The use of Cpit01-Material doesn't work and needs to be Body2 instead.

No you don't need. Only copy-Paste the carbonparts layer (the smaller black areas) to your template and remove/disable the older one. Then everything is fine.

Nice one....

As I tried to adapt some skins I found a issue with the Audi R8 Ultra squared mirrors. The mapping seems off with the new template and the right side is a double of the left side, esp if you use PCars skins. Be aware of that if you try to adapt skins or paint them. I will try to fix it, so you don't need no further work.

I have some questions regarding the Gallardo FL2. Is it possible to paint the winglets on the under side, with the top still being carbon? And paint the endpart of the wing? Also wondering why those bonnet straps are there. Is it possible to remove them/make them invisible?
