update to fit the sce game update v1.50 (updated the classes filter and new backfire material)
added the hood back to cockpit view

just unpack and drop into your sce install, if a message appears to overwrite files - click yes to all!

new .gen file, thx to renato simioni (reiza)! now the ford is 1:1 with the reiza super v8
new undercar shadow texture - resized to fit the tire position
resized shadow and collision .gmt - now it should fit better the cars body
added a set with blue spoke rims - new genstring info: SLV - silver, BLK - black, GLD - gold, RED - red, BLU - blue

ford falcon fg addon for reizas great super v8 "holden vf"

body and "external" interior from codemasters racedriver grid 2
addon means its using tires, driver, helmet, calipers and cockpit from super v8, same for some textures, complete physics and sounds so its just working together with the original content and not standalone

the body is moved to fit the stock v8 tires, just the rear tires are edited as the fords rear is a bit wider... also i moved the calipers closer on the brakediscs as i think reizas ones are too far away from it...

there two skins included, painted by sylphide (thx mate!) and they will appear on the stock super v8 class

just unpack and drop into your sce install... no original files will be overwritten... if you dont like the car you can remove it from your game with deleting the fordv8teams folder!

paint info: Templates
windows and light glasses are on same template, the window banner too but its using a different material... you dont need to add this texture twice, just add a extra line called Extra1="Window.dds" at the .veh file
cockpit windows are same as reiza ones so you can use the original templateand naming (extra0.dds) for it

Assuming the mapping is the same i could use some of my 2014 V8 skins i never got to use.

its a logo directly on bandicam... if you use bandicam i can send it for sure

Just did a quick test. An essential add-on done beautifully. I applaud your decision to use Reiza parts, the car fits in perfectly.

It does look more accurate this way, but I don't know how to make this standalone, initially I was just going to replace the gold rims, but then I realized the Bottle-O car has gold wheels in real life.



Um, strange question, but is the .hdv file for this category missing for anyone else?  SuperV8.hdv is referenced but I don't see the actual file. Just wanted to make a slight visual change to the track width on the Holden so it's not so recessed in the wheel wells. Never noticed that before, but now it's bugging me when viewed alongside the Ford.

Did they only start doing this with newer content? I see hdv's for most of the other cars.

I guess hiding physics is one way to keep online racing clean, but messing around with files is half the fun. Ah well, this remains my new favorite V8Supercars gaming experience.

They've been hiding the .hdv's since the game came out.

Backing up a little, I have to take back what I said about the Holden's wheels being too recessed.



I can see why it's like that, compered to the Ford's wheels which goes through the fender under heavy load. If this was GTR2 I'd just adjust the "WheelTrack=" values myself, but as I can't do that without the hdv, is there some other easy way to push the wheels inward?

I can live with it as is, and rarely make requests but this mod is so close to absolute perfection.

i would have to change the wheel track... the tires are 1:1 with the holden but the ford has some different dimensions... wider rear but smaller front
