Hello from the USA Empty Hello from the USA

Post  DBR 5/2/2015, 23:24

Hello Folks! My name is Adam, I'm 18, and I live in New York. I've seen a sampling of PATR10T's work (namely the GT3 mod) on other forums, and since I've recently gotten back into the more modern cars I decided to come here. I play and mod GTR2, but unfortunately I'm stuck offline due to crappy internet. I've helped out Antonio with his Absolute LeMans mod, and Phil with his Can-Am Revelations, and now I'm in a bit of a forced retirement due to schooling. I can skin a car, but I'd by no means call myself an expert at it. I've also taught myself how to do most basic things in 3DSimEd, but I've still got a lot to learn. I've got no problem if I'm not given access to everything, and I plan on hanging around for quite some time if you'll have me. As far as the rest of my life, it's pretty much all school and racing. My dad has two race cars that he shares with me (a Datsun 240z and a Mazda Protege), and when I'm not in school or at the computer I'm generally somehow involved with those. I'm just starting out racing, but my dad's been at it 20 years now, and over the course of those years we've gotten to be a part of some pretty incredible events at courses like Watkins Glen, Mosport, Trois-Rivieres, Toronto, and a few others.

That's about all I've got to say for myself, thanks for taking a read through!

Welcome DBR, I would die to go to Watkins Glen. That must have been a blast, I went to the 12 Hours Of Sebring back in March 2009 and that was unbelievable, glad to have you here I'M a newbie too. thumbs

Welcome to you too Scott. The Glen certainly is a nice track, but I think the weather's better at Sebring. Very Happy Seeing the 12 Hour must have been really cool, I'd love to make it out there myself. I saw in your thread you like to run Mid-Ohio, if you ever get the chance you should definitely visit that track as well. The scenery around the track isn't amazing, but being able to see the cars all the way through the key hole is a pretty neat.
