Keyboard Warrior
Hey guys,
I know this what's I'm about to ask will cause a few cringes, but I feel I'm in dire straits. I won't have a decent computer or room to set up a wheel for at least the next 6 months so I'm really only able to play GTR2 on a oldish laptop.
So does anyone race online with a keyboard? Is there's some sort of league for the stuggeling brothers out there? I need to fill this void somehow.
Cheers.

Hi Tom, I'm not into online races but have to use the keyboard too. Don't have room for a wheel and can't take it every time with me.

Re: Keyboard Warrior
In terms of online racing you won´t find much for GTR 2 right now.

Re: Keyboard Warrior
I raced GTR2 on keyboard online for years and it went fine. There isn't much things going in GTR2 online tho, lots of forums moved or are moving to other sims

Re: Keyboard Warrior
I race with a PS2 controller and it works fine with GTR2. Sure it's no keyboard, but it gets the job done. Unfortunately like Ermis said, there's not much online activity going on atm.

Re: Keyboard Warrior
I raced for years using a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick and then a Thrustmaster stick. Kris can attest you can be smooth and effective as we ran together online.
Unfortunately there is limited GTR2 online racing now. But try a joystick. You get progressive accel and braking with your steering inputs. Plenty of buttons for options. It takes a few days to acclimate to it. But IMO the experience is much more tactile than a keyboard. As for a controller, I've tried those too. But long races were tough on the hands with those small sticks for me.
