Re: RUN TIME ERROR CRASH
I had this CTD with more then 50 high poly cars like AC, Pcars in one field. I have no idea what causes this error, single cars work all fine.

4gb patch won't help when you're physically out of RAM on your computer

Re: RUN TIME ERROR CRASH
I think that may be the problem ( too many high detailed cars )....i have a ASUS LAPTOP WITH GEFORCE NVIDIA 670M 3GB graphics game card , thought that was enough???? Turned down the settings still the same random crash...... only after i save a session at least ?

Re: RUN TIME ERROR CRASH
I would like to do a 24H race at Le Mans but I'm still wondering whether I will get a runtime error or not. I have desktop, win 7 home premium 64bit, I7-3770 @ 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM DDR3 @ 1600Mhz, Nvidia GTX 660 2GB. Graphics at high except shadows and effects at low. 4GB patch applied. Race grid is going to be full modded 102 cars, fuel and tyre wear off due to exceeded pit spots. Saving game every 2 hours in case error happens?

Re: RUN TIME ERROR CRASH
Your specs doesn't matter... GTR2 is a 32bit app... you can have 1 terabyte RAM, if GTR2 uses more than 3.2gb you are at risk of app crash, simple. The 4gb patch only makes GTR2 use more than 2gb.

Re: RUN TIME ERROR CRASH
Yes turning down the shadows allow a machine loke mine to handle 45-50 BES cars at SPA,more than that it freeze
Has anybody raced a full field BES SPA 24H for exemple 2015 without freeze?

I have raced at Spa with 86 modded cars and Le Mans 102 cars for 3 hours race each and did not get errors. Sooner or later, I'm gonna try the same races for 24 hours including Nurburgring VLN with 102 cars. I will also try one way non stop, no saving, just me and autopilot.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] : I don't think it will help because many simmers in the past already tried that and still got exceeded out of memory like Kalinin said. However, putting shadows and effects at low is good in my case.

Another idea the might help is to turn of the replays, the recording needs a lot of power?!

sadly no. I disable Video & Replays but get this CTD. interessting for me is that 32 bit had problem with more then 3,2GB usage. With 55 cars from AC, Shift, Pcars and tracks like Spa 2011 or ECC Nordschleife I have more then 3,2 GB consumption and maybe that causes this CTD problem.
But many people had also running this cars in a field like 100 cars without this CTD. Thats what i don´´t understand.
I have this problem with big Grid often in Pit-Menu. example:
- I run some laps in quali, press Esc and going to pit (CTD)
- """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" now it works but when I go to timetable = CTD
- Going in Pits to camera/Tv for looking the AI cars at track = CTD
- drive some laps in quali and want to save the setup. Going in Pitmenu to save Setup and when I press save = CTD
- I can run a 24H Race without a problem. After the race I press Esc, then press end the Race and when I hit enter = CTD
Thats all happened arbitrarily! sometime it works, sometime I get this CTD. I have absolut no idea what causes this error. there is nothing suspicious in trace file.
