SCE Pirelli World Challenge 2016 - Version 1.1 Released 20160512

Here is version 1 of the PWC 2016 for GSCEx. Please let me know of any bugs or inaccuracies you may find. More skins will be added on along  with any fixes. A GTR2 version is being converted by ThatAudiFan as I have not kept my GTR2 install up to date.

Special thanks for ThatAudiFan for the 2015 GT Academy Nissan and #19 Cameron cars as they served as the base of the 2016s

V1.1 Update
-Added Cars (#11 Ferrari, #44 Audi, #46 BMW)
-Adjusted colors on KPAX McLarens, Let me know what you think
-Added Discount Tires Logo on front of #6 McLaren

Bug list:
-(v1.1) #11 Ferrari - Sombra logo is incorrect. If actual logo is found, that will be changed
-Bentley windows do no show up (mod issue)
-Badges.dds for Audi are incorrect (No red arrow on latches)
-Unable to apply lights.dds on #67 Aston (White rim on rear lights)
-#87 Bentley needs some minor edits
-If there is anything else, please let me know! I will get it fixed when more cars are added Smile

I think the yellow and orange k-Pax cars have a different front design. Blue is different.

While I heard on the broadcast or read in an article, the blue car is actually the 2014 MP4-12C with the 650S upgrade kit. So while the car is different in that aspect, the fronts do look the same

Now if only the person taking this pic would have gotten all the logos in shot. I believe the series has changed the size of them this year. It's been really hard to gauge the size.

Hey Daniel, wondering if you or anybody else has the ability to remap these polys? It is getting me fits LOL! Hopefully it can be adjusted before more painters start working with the model. If not, I'll do my best to make due on how it is.

Great progress on mclaren's skin pack, Chris!!! Probably you lost lots of time to put all the sponsor logos at the door area. This is not good place on the mclaren model Twisted Evil

BTW, how you loaded the mclaren model into 3dsimed? As I know gsc files are not supported cuz they are encrypted scratch

As I haven't mustard up the guts to work on that spot on the McLaren, work is continuing with the other cars. Just need to do the windows, helmet and driver suit (Need to do the same thing on the #99 as well)

Still an early progress shot on this one. Was going to use a PCARS IMSA skin as the base, but ended up redoing all the lines Mad Hoping to be done tonight or early tomorrow, so I can try and get one more car done this weekend.

I haven't heard of them getting a second car. There hasn't been any thing on any entry list. They have a hard enough time to keep the one car they do have on track. It is a very small team. Kudos to them for playing with the big boys.

KPAX McLarens - I'm still trying to figure out how to do the KPAX cars. After being able to look at the unlocked 650s model from SilverSun's GTR2 conversion, there is no way to do the front stripes due to the mapping. The mapping issue on the side has also been very time consuming. I'll probably do the release without the front stripes and I'll do what I can with the side. But this is a car that I'll come back to. Just want to knock out the easier cars first.

#67 Aston - Main livery is done, with the exception of the white lines around the rear lights, one rear logo (currently have a placeholder) and the painted grill (need to see if it is possible). Standard driver suit, helmet and windows to do yet.

#07 Ferrari - As Martin all ready has 4 class wins this year, and it is a really cool looking livery, should have this one done in the next day or two

4k skins are stupid for most people, you will fill just your ram with it and the game will get laggy... models are already big enough and i think theres no need to kill the gameplay complete... noone can tell me he will see the difference between 4k and 2k on track Wink


for the paint files i just asked for now Wink i have no plan when i will do the object files and upload them together with the templates

I'm only painting in 4k. It is a lot easier to paint as you can get more exact with the size and location of the logos. For some PCs, it doesn't make much difference between 4k and 2k. If I decide to release the skins in PCARS, it is ready to go. It is not hard to down size to 2k, but it doesn't really work the other way around. So start big and go small.

I should be able to release a 2k pack. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

I actually talked to De la Torre and the team when I took that pic....,
The conversation started when I asked about the switch from white livery Cota 2015 to the green livery....
really nice guys...had a lot of time for the fans... Cool

Dan, what a stupid into 4K quality skins??? Rolling Eyes If you need better fps for you machine, you always have the options to downsize thexture into 2K or 1K Wink It's not important for the online racing where need more performance. For the offline mods doesnt matter. Some people prefer more quality  What a Face   Why not? scratch For sure if you are looking from the one hundred meters distance or more you will not see the big difference between 4K and 2K, but if looks closer .... that's all

I changed the pieces on the McLaren. I haven't gone back on the Aston yet. I am actually using the PCARS template which is at 4096x6144 I believe. So I know it has the higher resolution carbon weave, but I haven't followed through yet to make sure the weave pattern correct and is in the correct orientation.

With the car count down this year over the past few years, a bit of a break in the series, and the few missing models, I'm trying to get as many base skins as I can completed. Then I'll run everything through my quality assurance check list that I've developed during the last 2 years of doing PWC cars LOL! I'm hoping to get a pack together in time for the GT3 release on AMS. With the models included in the AMS release, 20 of the 26 cars should be paintable.
